I felt the comments in the guardian article were fair and the writer seems to know quite alot about our team. the telegraph one though... not sure if it was meant to be serious or tongue in cheek. anyway new signings do not guarantee an improved placing as everyone around us have similarly made signings. we might expect higher but whether we meet expectations is another thing. I won't be surprised to see us consolidating between 10-15th for a few seasons before we make the push for top 8 after a few windows of making 2-3 quality additions. would prefer this long term approach but whether NC is patient enough is another matter

i have a feeling mourinho really rates him and his performances so far in preseason have not harmed his chances of finally breaking the first team at chelsea this season. think we have more chance with damiao than lukaku, but both very low likelihood of coming either way

think I'm the odd one out around here. I'm Singaporean and have next to no connections to southampton. local clubs here are probably conference levels therefore have chosen to support the saints instead. started doing so since our latest foray into the Uefa cup so you can probably call me a plastic fan especially as I've never attended a game nor been to St Mary's (plan to do so soon hopefully) most people here support the arsenal, liverpool and the manchester clubs but I've always liked the underdog. indifferent from most here in that I got to 'choose' which club to support. anyway hope all these doesn't change the way you guys view my posts, I'm pretty much all southampton except being from the area.
