Post-Match Reaction: Stoke City 2-1 SAINTS
max_saints replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Has to be those ridiculous bright orange/yellow boots -
Think the commentator said Bertrand wanted to have a go at it as well until RK stepped in and insisted JWP take it. Weird that Pelle was nowhere in sight...
-
he finally does it!!! PELLLLEEEEEE
-
For Clyne, let's try to get out of favor Rafael and revive his career ala Bertrand. For Morgs, he will be tough to replace. I've seen many suggesting Clasie but I would like to suggest a seriously underrated player in Ki Sung-Yeung of Swansea. He retains the ball well and quietly goes about his job with no fuss, plus he packs a decent shot as well. Has the added advantage of being able to hit the road running with years of experience in the league. For Toby, can we just offer A.Madrid what they want? Please! If not, then I fully expect the scouting team to pull off another coup after finding Lovren and Toby in sucessive seasons. Those will be the three main departures. We would need another experienced back up keeper. Finally, as we most probably would not be making the loans of djuricic and/or Elia permanent, the cherry on top of our super transfer window would be Memphis Depay. (too ambitious? I would settle for the striker who scored the first goal for Germany's U21s the other day, like the look of him)

Will back you up on this, JWP and Pelle to win this for us
-
a win later will see us finish the weekend above both Liverpool and Tottenham! business as usual?
-
Think the general consensus is that he leaves with the well wishes of the fans if it's Chelsea, city, arsenal or united. But if after spouting all that crap about champions league, and he chooses to link up with poch at spurs or the defector trio at Liverpool, it won't be the happiest of departures.
-
Not sure, I think Kolo Toure is ahead of him at the moment, perhaps he will actually make it to the bench now. (He was left out of the squad entirely on Sunday)
-
battle now on for 5th? Would love it if we finished above Liverpool and Tottenham at the end of the season
-
hahaha lalalalalalana

Are we really moaning about the keeper after a clean sheet and several brilliant saves? Some fans worry too much, one moment Forster is crap and now this? We're already down to the last eight games of a wonderful season but most have spent the entire season worrying and not enjoying. Come on, we can do this, top 6! Trust in Super Kelv
-
super kelv!!!!
-
shaw dropped completely from the united squad after being subbed off at half time in their fa cup game. anyway, hoping for a united win later if only to see poch lose and us remain above them in the table for a week

Is Tadic allergic to shooting?!
-
Chelsea seem to have stepped up a gear. We need to regroup at the back, very nervous now

A front line of Elia, Tadic, Mane and Pelle sounded so promising and exciting at one stage, what has gone wrong? -
Above average player who is currently on a poor run of form. A lack of back up also means he looks fatigued and could do with a short stint out of the starting line up. Ultimately, the blame doesn't entirely rest on him as he doesn't seem to be getting any good service and the entire forward line looks like they have no idea what to do with the ball in the final third.
-
Seems to be a lack of confidence at the moment and as a result is caught in two minds as to what he wants to do with the ball. He wasn't playing like this at the start of the season when he was on fire and pinging in wonderful crosses for Pelle to attack. Speaking of Pelle, he is another player who seems to be off form at the moment, his shooting has been woeful in the past few games.
-
I hope he slowly fades away and fks off to some Eastern European league

I still can't quite understand how Forster managed to save that! Pure instinct plus the power in his hands to scoop that over the bar! He was as huge a reason for our win as Mane's winner was. Both have to share motm in my opinion. -
YEEESSSSSSSSSS

c'mon.... jon walters scored a hat trick against this team!!
