Sounds like a quality signing. Hopefully he'll live up to the expectations. Although Lyon haven't been at their highest in the last few years he sure has a nice looking CV. With Forren hopefully integrating CB looks covered right now.

Shotgun not paying his wages.

Not a chance. Benfica are just trying to calm some angry fans after their end of season collapse.

Villarreal come from a 50,000 suburb of a provincial capital of the Valencia region (not even the big city itself). But it is one of Spain's most important and touristy areas, so I do get your point. And very much agree. I've overheard/seen a few foreign people in matches at SMS this year, particularly in the big-team games of March/April, and it got me thinking how underwhelmed they must have been by a weekend in Southampton. Unless they're on a day trip from London or are doing a bit of a South Coast tour.

Up the pace for next season and he might actually be who we want him to be.

I would have Jose Enrique any day. -
Horrific news. RIP young man.

He was rushed into the side. Look at Joe Hart- played more than double the amount of games Gazza played in L2, and still it took about 2 years and a few loan spells for him to get a comparable run of games at City. He needs time to progress and build confidence.

That won't happen, Inter are in disarray financially and Moratti is being unprecendently prudent with his spending.
-
I always thought that he was going to takeover the club in the end. So maybe some pressure on the Liebherrs to make a decision. He's an ambitious person and can be pretty ruthless even with those who have funded him IMO.

All I know is that we won't sign more than 90% of the players already mentioned in this page.

Exception that confirms the rule. Could I remind of Fulham at home, when we were 2-0 up and tactical changes only almost made us lose the game? -
For the people who said our defence wasn't good enough

There are a couple of defenders that need to be replaced as soon as this season's over. But I have to saw we've been a bit flat upfront for a while now. -

Have to agree with you today. In fact, it's draws like this that make me think we are better off with Pochettino. Not sure Adkins would've pulled this out of the fire, and add a couple of games in this 2nd half of the season in there. We were playing well, but we weren't looking that secure. -

Well I reckon that's that! Eventful season that may be should've been put to bed earlier but no harm, we were under a lot of pressure and testing for our brave playing style so it's good to see it through. Now time for next season: We need another striker as I'm not sure Lambert is as of yet rid of the threat of a Holtesque 2nd season (may I suggest Chris Wood from Leicester?). We may need a winger as Lallana needs a kick up the ar.. and I'm not sure Ramirez is happy here. We must sign a left-footed CB ASAP and send Hooiveld on the first flight back to Amsterdam! We must also sign a full-back depending on what we want to do with Shaw. I guess a LB who provides competition can't do any harm. -

And another lazy leg of the new giant Cannavaro springs at the best time possible. No defender, I repeat, no defender would even stick a foot on that if face is turned towards goal. No-one. -

Foster's blunder of the season at Carrow Road. We should be winning IMO -
Scharner looks a genuinely nice guy, and he doesn't earn more out of advertising than of his footballing skills. It means a lot for many of the Wigan players who quite frankly won't get higher than this in what football glory is concerned!
-
Get in Wigan!! hahaha Beautiful stuff, football has happened today!

Wigan are looking quite chilled IMO.

Speaking of, how unlikely would he be as a loan signing next year? To get ready to replace Evra and all...
