He kept us up, yes. But only just. And not without some simply terrible performances along the way. And I'd like a little more than "belief and passion", thanks. There's more to successful management than that.

But that's it - his history with us was nothing special. And if you want a manager who knows how to get out of League One, there are plenty of others to choose from...
Don't get me wrong, I don't think Pearson is a bad manager, I just don't rate him as highly as some people do and I think we'd be selling ourselves a little short in appointing him.
