  1. Indeed. Plus, you don't actually have to be very good to get promoted from the CCC - Derby, Hull and Burnley did it. If Posh aren't aiming for the play-offs this season they're selling themselves short, imo.
  2. Oh, happy days...
  3. Erm, what? We've had fans travelling down to Southampton from all over the country for years.
  4. That's what this thread seems to be, tbf. He kept us up, yes. But only just. And not without some simply terrible performances along the way. And I'd like a little more than "belief and passion", thanks. There's more to successful management than that. Pearson won the league with us? But that's it - his history with us was nothing special. And if you want a manager who knows how to get out of League One, there are plenty of others to choose from... Don't get me wrong, I don't think Pearson is a bad manager, I just don't rate him as highly as some people do and I think we'd be selling ourselves a little short in appointing him.
  5. Amongst this Nigel Pearson love-in, I'll just pipe up to say I don't rate him that much and fail to see why he's regarded as some sort of football genius on here...
  6. We're not. We are owned by a billionaire. Big difference.
  7. Exactly. Not a hope in hell.
  8. Indeed.
  9. I see that we've already reached the decisive day of this Ashes series today. England throwing it all away.
  10. I see that we've already reached the decisive day of this Ashes series today. Australia throwing it all away.
  11. The Red Cow, Richmond. Not that anyone cares.
  12. :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: Dear, oh dear.
  13. I'll admit that I might be biased because I think Sanchez is a pr1ck. And a sh1t manager. Other than that, he wouldn't be my choice Boothroyd is a much better shout.
  14. He's done OK at this level.

    Garlic Bread.
  16. He turned it down because he wants to earn more money. No, I mean play at a higher level than League One. Silly me.
  17. Bennett has been training with Brentford and is expected to sign shortly. Good shout, if he doesn't want silly money.
  18. He can. He doesn't. He's apparently worth 2.5 billion pounds. Walking away from his meagre investment in SFC isn't going to hurt him.
  19. Yep. Much as it sounds like fun, I don't want our club to be financially reliant on the goodwill of one man.
  20. If Liebherr wants to keep Wotte I'm sure even you will allow him that, no?
  21. Alpine, Bungle and The Dell Days are all the same person.
