The thing with this supposed 60th minute ploy is that we might be using it for a breather, a tactical adjustment, and to take on some gels, but there is nothing stopping the opposition doing the same. We are hardly gaining an unfair advantage.

I suppose it all depends on whether Europe needs Russisn gas more than Russia needs the money we pay for it. There was mention on Newsnight last week that Russia has been building it's financial reserves over the last few years, and now has one of the the largest reserves in the World.
