  1. In my view your view is wrong. Now I know that in your twisted perverse logic this means I am actively supporting peadophiles, but you are such a sad individual you have sunk beyond all hope of redemption and being re-assimilated into the strata of civilised society..
  2. Makes a change to have such an experienced bench. 😉
  3. I'm fed up of having to lower myself to your level.
  4. The only confusion is in your warped self-satisfaction. At least there is no risk of anybody accusing you of being clever.
  5. Because if you don't condemn then you condone, and with any class of offence there are differing levels of severity. And once you allow one class of offender to be fair game, which will be next, and who gets to choose ? And if you can't see the offensive inference at the end of your previous post then you are truly pathetic.
  6. What sort of sick minded pathetic individual are you ?
  7. So you are placing your opinions over the Legal system of the country ? Whether you approve or not, these offenders serve a defined sentence and are then released. Are you saying that vigilante assaults are justified because the State is wrong ? Would you condemn an attack on a suspected peadophile who had not been charged / convicted ?
  8. Particularly as Amanda Gorman had chosen the Dutch translator herself.
  9. So then, somebody who has fully served his sentence before being released is fair game, in your view, to be violently assaulted every time he leaves his house ?
  10. So in that circumstance "innocent until proven guilty" would not apply ?

  12. My favourite cricket umpire story was way back in a Gloucester v Lancashire Gillette Cup match in 1971. Lancs were batting and needed 25 from the last 5 overs, but it was getting quite dark, so David Hughes, the Lancashire batsman, asked the umpire whether there was a case for suspending play for bad light, whereupon umpire Jepson replied "There's the Moon, how far do you want to see ?" - Lancashire won the match.
  13. The only intolerance related to religion that is seen on here seems to be yours towards it.
  14. The French ref in the Wales-England rugby match is close to Premier League standard.

  21. "......the rioters were fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on Earth. Because he was angry he'd lost an election." "Former President Trump's actions that preceded the riot were a disgraceful, disgraceful dereliction of duty," "There is no question, none, that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day. No question about it. The people who stormed this building believed that they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their President. And having that belief was a forseeable consequence of the growing crescendo of false statements, conspiracy theories, and reckless hyperbole which the defeated President kept shouting into the largest megaphone on planet Earth. The issue is not only the President's intemporate language on January 6th, it is not just his endorsemenmt of remarks in which an associate urged "trial by combat". It was also the entire manufactured atmosphere of looming catastrophe, the increasingly wild myths about a 'reverse landslide' election that was somehow being stolen, some secret coup by our now President." ".....the Electoral College spoke. As I stood up and said clearly at that time, the Election was settled. Was over. But that just really opened a new chapter of even wilder, wilder, and more unfounded claims. The leader of the Free World cannot spend weeks thundering that shadowy forces are stealing our country and then feign surprise when people believe him and do reckless things. Now sadly many policians sometimes make overheated comments or use metaphors, we saw that, that unhinged listeners might take literally - but that was different. That's different from what we saw. This was an intensifying crescendo of conspiracy theories orchestrated by an outgoing President who seemed determied to either overturn the voters decision or else torch our institutions on the way out. The unconscionable behaviour did not end when the violence actually began. Whatever our ex-President claims he thought might happen that day, whatever reaction he says he meant to produce, by that afternoon we know he was watching the same live television as the rest of us. A mob was assaulting the Capitol in his name, these criminals were carrying his banners, hanging his flags, and screaming their loyalty to him. It was obvious that only President Trump could end this. He was the only one who could." Mitch McConnell. ( Perhaps his name should be added to GM's other thread - "Hypocrite of the Year" ).
