  1. But the Director General of the CBI says "These are being imposed on this country with no consultation with business with no time to prepare. This is no way to run a country,"
  2. But how far can A50 be extended before we run into having to possibly have European Elections at the end of May ? ( "end of May", we can but hope ).
  3. But what happens if the EU don't want the terms that are beneficial to the UK, because they are not beneficial to the EU ? Doesn't the process of negotiation often involve compromise ?
  4. We cannot slacken, we are still in the position of controlling our own destiny, and beating Brighton would ensure that they are kept down in the maelstrom. Also, the players need to keep building confidence and self-belief.
  5. I think the first was when Armstrong (?) was through the centre and got tripped, the second was Sissoko aiming his head at Redmond.
  6. So people voted 'out' for "better or worse" ? I thought it was for the promise of the Land of Milk and Honey.
  7. So, have you watched the interview ? I repeat the question - How long, in your estimation, is the 'very long time' that we will have to wait to find out 'the full economic consequences' and if we will be 'better or worse' ? ( And it's Morecambe )
  8. So paraphrasing "...I may not know for years to come whether it has been better or worse...We won't know the full economic consequences for a very long time,...over the next 50 years." into "it could take up to 50 years" equates to complete misrepresentation ? How long, in your estimation, is the 'very long time' that we will have to wait to find out 'the full economic consequences" and if we will be better or worse ?

  10. My 'chosen route' is the horse's mouth, via Youtube; "...I may not know for years to come whether it has been better or worse...We won't know the full economic consequences for a very long time,....The overwhelming opportunity for Brexit is over the next 50 years."
  11. Not necessarily, after all JRM said it could take up to 50 years to know IF Brexit was a good idea.
  12. According to the Guardian report, part of the money paid as 'bailouts' to the companies running the privatised service was given to enable them to pay the fines imposed on them by the MoJ for failing to meet their 'payment by results' targets.
  13. https://www.politicshome.com/news/uk/foreign-affairs/brexit/news/102170/civil-service-chief-confirms-tv-adverts-urging-businesses "TV advertisements urging businesses and the public to prepare for a no-deal Brexit are to be aired ahead of the UK's exit from the EU, the head of Britain's civil service has said."
  14. You have to wonder why GM bothers.
  15. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47400679 "Net migration to the UK from countries outside the European Union has hit its highest level for 15 years, the Office for National Statistics says." Not sure how "regaining control of our borders" will solve this.
  16. WBA on 21st October 2017, I think - Boufal's magic goal.

  19. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47386100 "A shooting range in Merseyside has been criticised for using images of IS bride Shamima Begum as a target." By popular demand, apparently.

  21. I wouldn't describe as 'tight' a team that pays Forster as much as we do, or that pays Long at all.
  22. Chelsea wanted to sub the keeper, Kepa refused to leave the pitch.
  23. Not only can't Jeremy Hunt tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese, he doesn't appear to have much of an understanding of post WW2 Balkan history; https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/feb/23/soviet-vassal-state-jeremy-hunt-makes-gaffe-in-slovenia
  24. If it's OK for POTUS then why not the Home Secretary ?
