  9. I did read it, and it is an opinion piece, not fact. If your interpretation of his piece is correct, then why have Parliament not yet delivered what their sovereign people have determined is the nation's will ? ( And I recommend the Guardian article in buctootim's post. )
  10. The British People are sovereign during the build up to, and voting for, a General Election. At all other times we are a secondary consideration. If it was the way you think it is, Brexit would have been signed, sealed, and delivered long since.

  15. In WW2, the US only jumped in after Pearl Harbour, and would have preferred to concentrate on the Pacific Theatre, but Adolf Hitler decided to actually declare war on them, and that helped Churchill persuade the US President that Europe would take priority. 22. Didn't he say that the Irish Government were not planning for a hard border, as in that case it would become a self-fulfilling prophesy ? Has he not also said that in the case of a 'no deal' Brexit, a hard border was inevitable ? https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/dec/21/ireland-has-no-plans-in-place-for-hard-border-after-brexit-varadkar https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/leo-varadkar-hard-border-very-likely-with-no-deal-brexit-h5v6w2w5p
  23. They probably aren't a 'great presence in the scheme of things', but they help to swell the numbers of your 92% of businesses. When, ( if ), we leave the EU, they won't be trading within any of our new trade agreements either, but will probably be bound by any UK legislative changes brought in to satisfy these agreements.
