  1. WOOT! Well my day's just got better lol. I just read the article and went from the above posters comment that the wife wouldn't like the change.
  2. Puel sounds the ticket, a combo of our previous 2 managers. Pressing style, attractive counterattacking football, with a slightly more defensive 3-5-2 formation that our players have got sussed from under Koeman brothers. Sounds like the natural choice but... why would he move from Nice to Saints, it looks like our clubs are very similar in structure and their positions in their respective leagues. Will take some serious 'ambition' (lots of dosh) to pry him away.

    Euro 2016

Except he is not anymore. He is massively overrated. He looks terrified of the ball even when doing the simple things when there is no pressure. His kicks go out of play more often than Boruc's used to for us and often when there is absolutely no reason. He flaps whenever he has to make a save. He always takes an extra touch when the ball needs to be cleared and a player is bearing down on him. The guys confidence is shot to pieces. The only argument for him being no1 is that we do not know how Forster would cope under the pressure of a meaningful tournament game and there is a small chance he would similarly be ****e.
  4. Not sure the Corset look is the best plan...
  5. You could be right. I'm not an expert like St Charlie and everyone else on here who know exactly what and how things are being done, I tend to take people, who tell me things and would have the insider knowledge to know it, at face value. One other poster has confirmed they heard the same thing about the Kat one on one at a restaurant. I stupidly came on here to tell what I heard without thinking. Apologies to those who have been mortally offended for me sharing what I heard, it was bloody cheeky of me to bring something up on a footy chat and discussion forum without a signed confession from each of the individuals involved.
  6. Nah it's only £2.30 in tesco for a roll of baco foil. Best to start fresh, the aliens can get to you after you've used it once
  7. You really are an arrogant twit. 1. The meeting happened and it was her one on one with Koeman. My source has absolutely no reason to make it up as has zero vested interest in football or Saints. You on the other hand know **** all but always act like you know best. You don't have to believe what i'm saying or my source but don't act like you have any idea of what goes on better than anyone else. The tedium you bring to this board, and your constant negative drivel is embarrassing. 2. Try actually reading the full post. They did it because he got results and calmed his **** down because it was the right business decision at that point. They didn't hate him, they disapproved of his attitude, his refusal to play anything other than Pelle ball at the time, and his handling of many of the player base.
  8. I don't often get ITK snippets but from a very good source; Shortly after the M.Targett incident, Kat and Ron met for a meal (location anonymous to protect source) to discuss the matter of his attitude. This quickly descended into quite a noisy row where our owner read the snake his fortune. Apparently the chopping block was lined up and it was only for the dramatic turn of results that he was given stay of execution until the end of the season. He mostly sorted his attitude out for the last half season which is why they were willing to give him a chance at another year but not at 'any cost', results and points are the business and friendship and liking someone come second place. Then when Ron pulled the whole Everton as a bargaining chip card (matches closely the other story that Jack posted on Sotonian) after already agreeing terms with Saints, they simply turned round and said 'no thanks' with a fair number of the board pleased to be rid of his arrogant attitude and management style. It doesn't add much to what we've already heard but it feels me with cheer to picture him getting a boloking from Kat over a meal and suggests our owner is much more involved than we knew.
  9. What gives you that impression? It sounds pretty absurd to me.
  10. The ITK post explicitly states his source wouldn't reveal our top two manager targets but then gives out all the other info...ergo...this information 'leak' has to some extent been green lit by the club. This means the ITK is telling the truth as far as he is aware but we have no idea of how factually correct and non biased the sources information is. I like the story though so I'm buying into it.
  11. Well managers would think twice about ****ing us over in future... definitely worth it. Statement that we aren't gonna let people screw us anymore.
  12. only a few places in it between De Boer and Neville.. which is surprising.
  13. Pereira sounds like a decent gamble.
  14. Me. But that's because I feel shafted for spending so much every season on football. Couldn't give a toss about recent events, good business sense by Saints even if there is a cynical side to it all.
  15. Great news. This is one of the most recognised brand sponsors we've ever had. And more importantly we can get some decent ****ing wi-fi at last.

  17. Big club just means rich club. So this is the standings from last year. http://www.sportingintelligence.com/2015/08/21/from-man-utd-at-1-8bn-to-cherries-at-104m-whats-your-club-worth-210803/ History beyond the last 20 years means **** all to the majority of Premier League audiences, players and managers other than it being rammed down our necks as conversation topics for commentators, second rate journalists and overly passionate single club fans/trolls. The PL hierarchy is and should be the current league table otherwise what's the bloody point in the whole thing.
  18. Love the photo. I expect to see this face everytime Pelle tries a flick-on without looking up first. (If that's him because it doesnt look much like other photos of him i've seen and i don't read dutch )
  19. Was reading Ray Parlours comments and given a choice of some of the other available options I personally wouldn't go for Moyes as first option. But if he did end up here would it be so bad? Great chance for him to prove he has more about him than the poisoned chalice that was Man Utd. For us he has a huge wealth of experience with our league and knows how to keep a team in and around the Europe spots year on year. Solid appointment if not particularly exciting would be my verdict. Still crossing fingers for FDB or AVB mind you. What's others thoughts on this?
  20. And yet apparently has flat out said no to us, which is a big smack in the mouth if true.
  21. Wonder how many copies of Brendan Rogers CV and cover letter have been intercepted before leaving a certain Scottish fax machine.
  22. Well the short list is getting shorter!
