  1. You could argue the same tactics were employed by the substantially better funded remain campaign. I guess you could say... money is not as important as many (those with it) would like us all to believe...
  2. jeez, pilac of the pre season. This is comparable to one of those moments where your stupid mate thinks they are funny by taking the mickey out of a 'drunk bloke' over the road before you awkwardly have to point out they are disabled, it ain't amusing... just sad and embarrassing for everyone involved.

    Euro 2016

Hazard and De Bruyne couldn't break them down between them. If they play as well as this again, Portugal have no chance. (But hitting same level again will be tough for them)
  4. **** me have you lot never seen a bra, it doesn't look anything like one and its on the wrong bit of the chest.
  5. Dont forget that clown Lovren.

    Sammy Lee

Nope, the flow existed before Sammy and will do afterwards. It's Liverpool's board and transfer team that are obsessed with our club not it's managers and that's why it won't change.
  7. The black box is for players? or am i missing something... This guy is primarily a french translator with the added bonus of football knowledge so he can interpret coaching methods. So many twisted knickers. If I wanted a translator i'd go for someone with experience of my business as well.
  8. This is a big statement of where Koeman thinks Everton is at. Stek is not good enough for Saints in his opinion but yet he is for Everton...
  9. Ease up, he is allowed to have an opinion. It is after all an opinion forum and most of what he said were facts followed by a guess as to why they went for that choice.
  10. Ive based my decision on his eligibility purely by the way he has that French 'Couldnt give a ****' and somehow still looks smart dress style, yet he also has eyes and a stare to match that could empty a ref or misbehaving players bowels if they ****ed him off. I think 6 -12 weeks is fair at this point. +1 week for every good thing I hear from this point forward from the club with him invovled, -1 for every time someone brings up his stats not being good. He gets an extra +3 weeks for every semi decent signing he gets to shake hands with, +6 weeks if the signing breaks records and is agreed to be a 'worldy'. Now I think that seems pretty fair?
  11. The Roy Keane of French football? Tadic's gonna love that then... cue Tadic manager coup in 3...2...
  12. Nope i'm with you. If we have the same manager for five years it means we are plodding along mid table with no one wanting to either nick him off us or worth the risk of sacking.

    Euro 2016

all these names being banded about in the news, hoddle or Redknapp... seriously? Surely the minimum criteria needs to be: 'Would they be able to manage a Premiership team this season?'. If there was any, and I mean a single shred of, doubt in that answer then it needs to be a flat out no. If the FA cant pick a manager for a national team equal to the quality Saints FC, Everton etc can shortlist and pick then we need to throw the towel in now.
  14. Chelsea scouting: Being cynical I'd say this was indicitive of the big clubs transfer policy: 'Look he just had a good game...and the papers like him'... 'Go on then throw 40M at them'. Never seems to be any real thought as to whether he would be a fit for manager or other current players. I mean Conte is playing a defensive game with a target man outlet. Bit of a different style to the way Belgium is setup and likes to play... Of course in reality I'm sure Chelsea and Liverpool scouting isn't that simple.
  15. I'd take a punt that it means tight to the line on the wing, but not heard it before.
  16. A lot of people said that about Ranierii and whilst I doubt that will ever happen again I think we need to take it as example and just wait and see what happen, judge the guy once he's got into it. We had a great end to the season and still have the majority of that team (at the moment) so let's just see how quickly any new attacking options will take to bed in and whether the switch to a new shape can actually improve some of our players.
  17. Sometimes in the past I've wished it was that easy, unfortunately being a Saints fan is part of my DNA. However, your post is just plain antagonistic and predictable with little thought. I question and debate some of the recent decisions (trying to be reasonable in assessment unlike others) purely because I do care and I have been 'with' Saints FC a lot longer than the management team making the current public faux pas'. Consequently my concern, whilst acknowledging its bloody lovely to be up the top end of the table, is that whatever they do to the Saints FC image and branding we the fans will have to live with it once this management and playing team has moved on and image and public opinion will last a lot longer into the future. We are still considered relegation minnows and candidates by many older fans because of how our image and branding was affected in the 90's. Not having the luxury of being able to change that in the past, now we are in a luxurious position of having one of the wealthiest owners at the club and making profits and playing good football, i'd like to see us start thinking about the long term image and branding of our club as that will lead to more fans, more revenue, more tv sales and then a bigger stadium and us being more competitive financially and attracting better players. It starts with how people see and respect a club. Playing into the press image of us being a car boot sale with no power to keep hold of our players and managers and 'apparently' being bullied by players and the likes of spurs and liverpool into sales and losing out on transfer choices is going to be very detrimental to us in terms of winning fans from the younger generations and adding international fans to our club. Youths who are our target for growing the fan base will not want to be associated with a club that is the victim and others pick on, it is human nature. Unfortunately this will also apply to players when weighing up a transfer move, except they would use the word 'unfashionable' when picking between the current Saints image and say the currently portrayed image of say 'upwardly mobile, ambitious' West Ham over us.
  18. IMO this is the clearest indication we have ever had, of money in the short term being placed as more important than results and continued club growth. A year more with Mane when we didn't have to sell him to strengthen a rival would have been much more profitable than short sightedly taking the dosh. Maybe/probably/hopefully the gamble will pay off again but it ****s me off we were in a position holding the cards, and roll over again to clubs that are finishing around us. Starting to feel like we are the soft kid in the playground who everyone takes lunch from because they are so 'nice' and quick to hand it over without fuss. The clubs image is affected everytime it happens along with the public blunders with Koeman and Alderweireld and it effects the public image and brand. Thank **** we got Virgin on board as it helps to some extent but Saints FC is becoming synonymous with the words naive, victim and unambitious (whether its true or not it is starting to stick) every transfer window which is pretty damaging for a brand. Thankfully our playing ability is combating it and constant achieving beyond expectation but we have a mild season and end mid table or slightly lower and that gets forgotten in favour of the brand image which is all we will have to sell ourselves on to new players.
  19. Genuinely starting to wonder if this guy had it off with your girlfriend or something... is jack Schitt really that important?
  20. Bait tin at the ready.
  21. To large extent I agree with you, but confident we could do even better if we were to maybe at least attempt to cut out some of the more negative parts of that cycle where we have the power to do so.
  22. The quote is a famous one often attributed to Einstein (but there is debate on who said it). It means that if you have desire to progress from suffering the same result over and over gain, you have to change what you are doing. It would be lazy, simple minded and unambitious to blame 'the money' and accept that where we are is we will stay as a fact. If we want to attempt to end the seasonal 'meltdown' headlines and the feeding frenzy of selling players, and the reign of 'history' clubs then simply we do not sell to them when we have a choice in the matter, regardless of how much is on the table. Maybe we will also break 'the glass ceiling' as a result and have more weight with getting players to sign. The only thing that is out of our hands is when there is a release clause which is why I have added several times to my posts; the words 'If we have the choice'. I think if we want to continue to progress and strive to a Leicester achievement, it is worth trying a different approach. but here is another quote from 'my therapist' as you liked the last one; “The most ignorant of all people is a person who is self assured in his or her premature decisions.”
