  1. Can we petition for Adam Lallana to be the next character in Game of Thrones to get his knob cut off and fed back to him Photo caption: 'Whilst Lallana talked at him, Jon Snow pondered over the mysteries of life, mainly; who is the weirdo next to me and how does he have such a **** looking beard?' http://gph.is/1mZ12Ip

  3. To be fair I backed him up to the Fonte incident but that was out of desperate hope more than anything that he would sort his **** out with us. Im actually marginally more livid at Mauricio for forcing this signing more than I am for his ditching us for the London pretenders.
  4. Allegedly Dave Watson has revealed that Ogbonna is nailed on for a transfer by end of the week, the other one which we are working on is supposedly Bollasie but there is a bit more work to do on it. I find the Bollasie suggestion more unlikely but its no more unbelievable than most of the ****e I've read as gospel in the papers the last few weeks and I really didn't see the Long one coming last season so i'll give the ITK claims the benefit of the doubt for now.
  5. Goodbye Nat, you were a professional, you never pretended to be anything other than a paid footballer so good on you. Hope Rogers teaches you the same skills in one-on-ones as he taught Lovren. Looking forward to watching Mane run rings around you.
  6. I have faith that after the way Lovren looked for us compared to everywhere else he played, that whoever we sign as a defender will be mustard once Fonte gives them an education.
  7. Aye a couple of ITK's (not me, i know fark all) have suggested this one is nearly over the line.
  8. Never before have i wanted Spurs or Liverpool to sign a player so much...
  9. Why do new Liverpool signings always have to trot out this great history guff?. Why the hell is something that happened before your life time at all relevant to your decisions currently? I know they are told to say but it really has become irritating how many times the phrase 'great history', 'solid history', 'fantastic history' has to be peddled out by pundits and players in various different ways. What bearing does that have at all on the future or even current status and trajectory of the club you are joining? The sycophantic love in with the top clubs has got worse and worse the last two seasons and it seems to me like those in the media associated with them are desperately trying to cling onto the glory of a dying age, does the truth scare them? It seems to me that the increase in premier money has meant that the gap between 'big' (rich) clubs and those below them, with good setups and managers, is being drastically reduced season upon season. All the clubs in this league now have the financial clout to buy some of the best in Europe 'IF' they can correctly identify them. There are enough elite level european players around that the big clubs cant buy them all (Chelsea may try), and many it appears have a lazy recruitment policy of going for what's currently hot in the foreign and local press which often results in one or two expensive flops (I believe we were victims of this ourselves to a certain extent with Ramirez). Meanwhile the mid table clubs grow stronger as they have more money and stability and can now build more solid teams each season, being much more used to the challenge of spotting talent for discounts and taking risks on unpopular or less hyped players. As this trend continues the gap across the whole table will gradually close up. I predict we will see someone unexpected in the top 4 very soon, and not many seasons after we will see a 'big' team in an unexpected relegation battle; that is unless something is done to quickly stop the share of power. It is rather cynical of me, but I believe that FFP was introduced to try and keep the status quo of a closed top 5, it appears that it wasn't balanced right and now with the incoming tv money the writing 'is on the wall', so I'm fully expecting new methods will be introduced to try to preserve the rich clubs status. However as things stand I believe the glory day's of the Premier League top 6 being a closed shop is at an end and I believe that makes the future much more exciting than the prospect of reliving the glories of a black and white past. Apologies if you found all that a bore, I love to ramble on now and then, but I've been wondering recently what other peoples thoughts are on the future of the premier league both short and long term?

Reading between the lines AM and Spurs have agreed a sale in principle, Levy is on his way out personally to try and persuade Toby that Spurs are the club for him and offer him more and more until he agrees. Levy's obsession with Saints is second only to Rodgers. I'm fairly sure their recruitment plan is to watch what Southampton plan to do and then try and nip in before them with a bigger wage package.
  11. Fixed for accuracy: 'A little less bias wouldn't hurt. Clyne is joining a better squad on paper and a richer club.'
  12. Yeah my initial thought was also, 'naughty sky bet'. Let's hope its a fabled bidding war.
  13. Jay Rod in January i reckon, and Hodgson will make it clear Jay Rod aint getting picked even if he is scoring hattricks for fun. He will have to transfer to Liverpool to make Euros. Tin foil hat firmly on head.
  14. Wait what? Yesterday it was a done deal to arsenal! Cmon you gooners better get back in with another bid... Going once...
  15. This is grieving? Can we have some more of the same then. Lallana sing along, you definitely know the words... WTFILN!
  16. As I typed it I knew someone couldn't resist going there. Vectis I'll order you a cab.

Reckon this is why the sudden deal on Clyne. Hopefully we are getting ready to go all in on Toby and needed to be sure we had a sale agreed to get the go ahead by the board.
  18. Would love Rickie to come back, bit like a mascot for our club. Not sure how much game time he'd actually get, but as part of a deal with that lot we should definitely have asked about a loan back or similar. Also Liverpool will want Jay Rod by this time next year, wait and see.
  19. All I'm hoping for the rest of the window is that Tottenham doesn't nick any of our players, backroom staff, serving waiters, goal posts, club shop, or similar. Its been a couple of months now since they took our head of recruitment so its probably about time they come knocking again.

Unfortunately as has been shown over the last few years like a floater you just cant get rid of him. At least he hasn't started on the racist/bigoted/homophobic insults yet, that seems to be common form, but ya know watch this space...
  21. The Portuguese full-back said: “Southampton is a big, big club, and very respectable. It is a club with a lot of history. For me it is very important to play with a big club. I joined this club as I believe we can do better and better every year.” Isnt that the standard Liverpool player signing line, has someone explained to him which one of the clubs he has actually signed for, could be awkward... Although the confusion is understandable thanks to the continuing good work of agent Brendan. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/06/19/cedric-soares-what-made-me-decide-to-sign-for-southampton/?
  22. or play Henderson at RB all season. Oh god if only. I hope Les has a malicious streak.
  23. and it was always Ju-an-mi always, and forever. lah lah lah, lah lah. 'repeat'
