So you are agreeing that if shorts of the two opposing teams can match then there is no earthly reason why we would NOT always wear the white shorts with the white shirt then? The problem is that we are not improving. Quite the opposite, the performances on the pitch are getting worse with each passing game. It's hard to argue that Adkins is looking out of his depth at PL level.

Our kit will be with Adidas next season according to an itk on another forum. Deal not announced yet but contract has been signed.

He wouldn't have stayed tho that was the point. He saw us as a great way to rehabilitate his damaged reputation with little risk. As soon as any big job came up he would have been off. It wouldn't have mattered if he was our manager when the Toon came knocking he still would have gone there.

No doubt it will be 'riddled with inaccuracies and plagiarism'. Funnily enough your thread is nothing more than a plug for the book which no doubt will shift quite a few more copies from people who didn't know it exisited before you brought it up!

He's destined to go down in the annals of Saints history on the same page as Sturrock, Redknapp Wigely and Gray. Not as good as Branfoot and Jones (who were able to cope at PL level, well they never got us relegated did they?) but better than Pearson, Portvleet, Woote and Gormless George the drunken Scotsman.

p.s. we were very lucky that our final game came against Cov last season, if he had played a team with something left to play for we would have been f'ked!

Is he a very good manager tho? I would say no. He's a Championship level at best manager. We did amazingly well to go up last season but this was pretty much as we were flat track bullies beating the weaker teams in the division. Whenever the big games came up Adkins inveriably came out 2nd best. Boro away, Leicester home, Reading home, etc. This seems to be the pattern this season where every game is against a 'big team'.
