About as much chance of Cole coming here as there is Messi.

I think £100k per week would be £20m for 4 years? Over 30, on the down side of his career, will expect huge wages. Doesn't really fit the model of our signings does it. In any case, it's a moot point, he'll want CL football. There's a good chance he'll go to Real Madrid and Mournino and if not then possibly PSG.

"Suited and Booted" - new Saints book for sale
once_bitterne replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
"your sort"? What an odd thing to say. I have plenty of Saints books knocking around the house thanks. Last Xmas I was given the one made up of newspapers reports and recently purchased 'A Diary of a Season" from a 2nd hand book shop as I hadn't read it since I got it out from the local library as a chid in the early 80s. I can post a piccie of the book when I get it if that would placate you? Can interviews be plagiarised? It's not as if someone is stealing a story or concept is it? If a politician gives an interview to the BBC and then the words from that interview are then used by the press it's not exactly plagiarism is it? I'm not sure you've got much of a leg to stand on. Have you sought legal advice on this? -

A Worker's Collective eh? You Bolshi old Socialist you! Power to the People! It's a book of pictures FFS! Surely you can understand that as that's what your Commune's effort was. (though maybe that's the point). According to Nick Illingsworth the only text is a 'short' piece explaining each picture. I would take that to mean not a whole lot more than the date and score so unless you believe that information to be solely owned by the Collective than I can't see much scope for plagiarism. Oh, by the way: re: your not knowing the meaning of the word insult, at least I can spell it correctly! Great pensmanship...... So if it's all the same to the Commune, I'll be purchasing a copy of "When Football was Football" for Xmas. -

What are you babbling on about? Nick Illingsworth did a feature on that book on the front page of TUI forum today so thought it might be of interest. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/fb_news.php?storyid=18359&title=new_saints_book_on_the_shelves Funny to see you showing your true colours though! See it as someone muscling in on 'your territory' eh? Books on the history of the club can only be written by your company.... Maybe you can get the union involved? -

Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"
once_bitterne replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Let Toomer say his piece. I mean we've gone from L1 to the PL in less than 3 years (in a hand cart). I'm surprised that Cortese hasn't been publicly flogged yet. (or at least had a visit from Chuckles Chorley and his associates at his garden gate). -
And they would still be getting 13,00 if they were playing to the same level as they were in 1984. Likewise, if we had won 3 PL titles in the past decade and were coming off a Champions League winning season you wouldn't be able to get a seat at SMS for love nor money....

Jay Rod should only be played in a 4-3-3 when Lambert is not on the pitch. He can score goals when the lone striker as he showed in the Cup. The other players in the 4-3-3 should be Ramirez and Puncheon with Mayuka and Lee as their backups (when all fit!!)

If Adkins was given the Spanish archer then I would far prefer Benitez to Harry.

Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales

Michael Wilde. -
Like that would ever work in the UK. It would involve people behaving like sensible adults as when you open the door up you have access to the entire pile of newspapers. In the UK that would mean they would all be nicked within the first 10 minutes or just scattered to all four corners of the wind.

Think we'll only wear it against Liverpool, Chelsea (but with red socks), Villa and West Ham (but with red shorts). Reckon we'll prob wear red against Norwich as Yellow and White isn't too much of a contrast. So the full white kit will be worn just at Anfield!
-
Seems weird we didn't wear it on Sat.

Arthur. Proper old skool name.

Feck me, there's two threads at the top of TSW, onw about our LB who doesn't play anymore and the other about his missus!
-
Protected account! You must follow her (stalker!) Spill the beans, what she say??
-
Ryan Dickson's missus which I'm sure cheers him up a bit from not really playing anymore...
-
Beat me to it....

Jonno Quick started for Crawley against Swansea last night.

Aren't quite a few of them from Pompey?

Didn't you know the landlord of a local pub who had Burley banging to be let in for a drink at 4am Duncan?

I read an article on us trying to sign Gordon and it said clubs are free to sign as many free agents as they want after the window closes up to the point where they have 25 men named in their squad list. We only named 23 players in that list so have two free spaces we could use for Gordon and Upson.
