Chaplow has tweeted that he is looking to stay at Saints so it seems unlikely he is going to be used as a make weight.

I wouldn't mind a sneaky tenner on Rafa Benitez becoming our manager during the season. For some bizarre reason he's still living in the UK waiting for a suitable PL job to become available.
-
He was indeed. Patred knows quite a few scouts and had confirmed when we signed him that numerous scouts viewed Forecast as one of the top young English prospects. Sadly, it hasn't worked out for him (probably due to his pi ss poor attitude), but so what? There are many young players with potential that never live up to it, that's just the way clubs work. No club in the land can avoid signing a few players that turn out to be duds. Given he was signed as a 3rd choice keeper when we were in admin I can't imagine that his wages amounted to all that much. Weird that he seems to a cause celebre for fan's to get worked up about! We've got some odd supporters, from Admin and bottom of L1 on minus 10 to the PL in less than 3 years and some fans are upset that our 3rd choice keeper is a bit rubbish!
-
If you only have one fit senior keeper on the bench you are eligible to bring in an emergency loan.
-
Hes a player who never lived up to potential. When he arrived here he was rated as a prospect and let's not forget he was good enough to appear on the bench a number of times for Spurs in the PL.
-
Has Jake Sinclair already been promoted to first team (or is he still too young?)
-
Does it matter if it is? If they put any criteria in place for the big demand games then it will be to do with next season and not past ones.
-
Looks like Sharp has decided to give the trip a miss.
-
Far be it from me to say that the fixtures list is 'fixed' but one of the promoted clubs always seems to get one of the big boys first game up. So I will say Man U at home.

Weren't Pinnacle given exclusivity because they paid foir it? (albeit using Leon Crouch's money). -
At least was have well grounded players who aren't billy big balls. Take a look at Jos's twitter account. He's back with his parents in Holland and his old man has got him digging the back garden!

It's Danny Butterfield.

Surely someone must know what the tie breakers are! It seems a mystery, even media sites are talking of coins tosses(!), play-offs and the like!Is it?1. Points2. Goal Difference3. Goals scored4. Head to HeadOnly, I am not at all sure which way round 3 and 4 go. Surely someone must have a Football League rulebook to hand!
-
Can someone please confirm, if we are level on points and goal differnence then the next diferentiator is head to head record? (i.e. this happens before goals scored would take effect?) It would obvious be good for us if it was head to head before goals scored.

LOL @ the helmets who think that Liverpool would even think for 0.000000001 seconds about signing a striker aged over 30 who, apart from one season in the Championship, has spent his entire career at L2 and L1 level. I'm sure that Rickie is only a few notches below Grant Holt on Liverpool's radar.
-
Agreed. Prior to this season Lambert has been a L1 striker. He's done very well in the Championship and IF we go up there is every chance he will push on and get a few goals in the PL just as Grant Holt has. However, he isn't top 6 quality. Nowhere near.
-
Dalglish got Liverpool into the position they are in by buying overpriced British players like Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Adam, etc. None of that lot are up to the CL standard which should be the position that Liverpool are aspiring to. As much as Lambert has become a Saints legend he is a player in his 30s who has never even played in the PL yet. No offence to Sir Richard but he is nowhere near the level of player that Liverpool should be signing.

Baldock is a quality player, luckily for us, Fat Sam refuses to play him as he is likely to score a goal. -

After 6 games they had 4 points, we had 15. So after that time they have scored 14 points more than us. Therefore I think it's fair that, if you discount the start to the season where they lost 4 games in a row, they are the most consistent and 'best' team in the league. They certainly seem to have avoided having the occasional horrendous performance like we have (Leicester, Blackpool, etc) -
Vote Matt Le Tiss - Greatest ever Premier League goal

Well I guess in the grand scheme of things...... My point was just that I would love to see MLT in the 'All Premier League' team. However since he has been put in the CM category there is feck all chance of this happening. I would imagine if you asked 1,000 football fans who is the greatest CM since the PL started not one would say MLT. You might as well put in in the GK category.... -

I wouldn't class the 'hole' as CM tho. Given his goals record he would have been a better fit into the RM of CF category. Pretty pointless comparing him in the CM category with the likes of Scholes, Viera, Keane, etc. -

Why the f'k is MLT in the Central Midfielder category?????
