Connolly will not have his contract renewed at seasons end and Barnard will most likely be sold in the Summer. Not sure if he is Championship level so maybe a move back to L1 where he scores for fun.
-
Steve is correct. For permanent signings it's midday the day before, but for loans it 4 hours! That's why Delfouso signed on loan from Villa to Leicester last Monday morning and was on the bench for them for the game against us in the evening. I have a feeling that Boro exploited this in their signing of Jukevitz.

Not having the likely possibility of going out of business if failing to get promotion this season?
-
Wouldn't be a bad thing, Barnard has still to prove himself as anything other than L1 level and that would get rid of the possibility of any bad press if he gets sent down.

Forte gone to Notts County on loan

But not the second.... -
Wonder if the swipe card system will mean the re-introduction of membership? It would seem pointless having s/t holders using a card and non s/t holders still being given paper tickets.

Smiley? He was looking mean! Maybe just getting ready for a welcome to English football at The Den! -

What do we buy these players with? The magic beans that many thought Lowe kept hidden which should have been used to purchase that famed Ambition that the brain dead kept going on about. Just as with Lowe if the money aint there it aint there. Cortese is just an employee of the club, not the owner so I can't believe if he is sitting on a pot of cash he is choosing not to spend it as it is very much in his interest to get the club promoted. Marcus is gone and now the ownership of the club rests in his family who have very little interest in football in general much less a club in a foreign land that their husband/Father purchased shortly before his death. The club is running at a heavy day to day loss and even with the Chamberlain money the Liebherr family have still made a substantial loss of SFC and continue to do so with each passing day. It's unrealsitic to think they are going to spend millions more on new players. We have dramatically overacheived this season, many of us thought a mid-table finish was the best we could hope for. Yes, we got hammered yesterday, but was that a surprise? If you look at the Leicester team 1 thru 11 that was on the pitch last night, I don't think I would pick one of our players over theirs.

You're forgetting Alps is a manic depressive. If he won the lottery he would bang on about how disappointed he is with the size of cheque for the photoshoot. -

Do You Remember When Lowe Used To Write His Own Stuff For The OS

According to radio reports yesterday, Skacel is to be loaned out to...... Crawley Town in L2!!!!!! -
I wouldn't. They are doing it in scotland as there is no tv money so gate receipts are the only major stream of income and these, for many clubs up there, are dire. It will never happen in England as the Football League, the Premier League and the Police don't want it to happen. They have spent huge amounts of time and effort in turning the game for the lad culture of the 70s and 80s to the family friendly activity it is today and there isn't a chance in hell that they would risk harming a multi-billion pound business with something that could lead to a reversal in this.

Nothing much on the bench. We need to sign a striker in January quick Sharp....

We must be ghey....

Was part of the Bubble deal that our fans stay silent all game?

According to Patred on the Ugly we have signed a loan keeper today..........
-
Yes he had a mare. But is he always bad? He has played perfectly well in a number of FA Cup, Trophy, and League Cup matches this past couple of years. Reserve keepers barely ever get a game in the League so how good to you expect one from the 2nd tier of English football to be? How good are the ones at the top of the Prem? Hilario? Brad Jones at Liverpool, Almunia/Flappyhandski at Arsenal? All def prone to blunders. Decent keepers aren't all that easy to find. Just ask Sir Alex. How much did we waste on De Gea who is throwing one in the back of his own net every other game. I wouldn't be distraught if we had to play Bart on Sunday.

We've overacheived so far this season. Most rational fans had us posted as mid-table for this season so it was inevitable that we would have a wobble at some point. Given that we have a fair few players who had plied their trade a L1 level before this season I think Adkins has done very well in getting the most out of them. If we keep pretty much the same squad as we have I think we will finish in the playoff positions, if we spend a large proportion of the Oxo money then I think we can push for a top 2 finish.

Portsmouth Owners Go Into Administration

The only way this could change was if we were to adopt a US franchise system as happens where the NFL decides who can and cannot buy any of the franchises. -

"Based in London, CSI was founded by Russian investors Vladimir Antonov and Roman Dubov alongside Chris Akers, a former CEO of Leeds United. Among CSI’s other sports properties are the Spyker Squadron motorsport team and North One Sport, the global promoter of the World Rally Championship, Isle of Man TT race series, Velux 5 Oceans Race and Clipper Round the World sailing events." When we went into admin SLH didn't even have the radio station anymore.... -
