  1. Released now. Playing for Sc unthorpe. Well I saying playing, he hasn't made it onto the pitch since August.
  2. And home to Hull (4-0) Him and Davies were unbeatable that day. If you had to say one of the teams playing that day would get promoted to the PL not many would have said Hull.....
  3. I was at a business meeting at the Reading Madjeski stadium last week and looked out on the pitch and it looked immaculate and that is used as much by London Irish RFC as it is by Reading so I don't a couple of RWC matches will do much damage to SMS so you can cross this one of of your list of things which drive you to the depths of depression.
  4. I appreciate it may have been difficult to see on the radio Alps but the pitch was tearing up a treat on Tuesday. Massive great divots being pulled up all over the place.
  5. Legs apart, knees slightly bent with arms outstretched.
  6. F'k me that quiz was weird!! It should have been called 'Look who's Stalking'...... I thought the final question was going to be 'how big is Kelvin's c*** and the prize a pair of signed pants!
  7. None of that would happen tho. The demand for tickets, tv and shirts would be the same. What would happen is that some non PL (2 tier?) teams would cease to exist and some would go semi pro. Given that the support for many L1/L2 is dwindling to negligible levels already this may be no bad thing. Most kids in L1/L2 towns like Oldham support one of the Big 4 anyway so what's the issue. Having no promotion and relegation will have no affect whatsoever on the fan levels of PL teams.
  8. It's not just concrete anymore. That changed in 2001 after one of US sport's biggest names, Dale Earnhardt, was killed after hitting the wall at Daytona. Nowadays every oval used by NASCAR and Indy has to have this. However, this played no part in Wheldon's tragic death as he went airborne and was killed by the imapct with the catch fence not the wall. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safer_barrier
  9. Two tier PL with 18 teams in each. Tv revenue shared equally between the 36 teams. Promotion between the two PLs but not out of PL2. The rest of the league clubs to play in a semi-pro football league.
  10. Bollux is he. When was the last time he actually played a game? Even if he has recovered from injury he is weeks if not months of full training from being able to play at the level we are at. Which is exactly what Sheff Utd thought and they are the league below us.
  11. There's a difference to looking slim enough to walk around a nightclub with a drink in your hand and being able to play football at Championship level. Sheff Utd took a look at Beattie a couple of weeks back and said they would be interested in him coming back there but that he was some way away from match fitness. So if we did give him a contract it would take a good few weeks to get him anywhere near match fit so surely the better option would be to wait until January and just buy someone decent.
  12. If we are so concerned with signing an unfit former striker can we get this one instead?
  13. It's always sad to hear a player has fallen to the temptation of illegal substances.....
  14. sign on?
  15. That would be the Stuart Pearce who last week ruled himself out of the running to be next England manager as he didn't believe he had the necessary experience?
  16. And Plymouth fans think they have it tough.....
  17. You'll be hoping we don't get promoted then!
  18. Where are Doncaster getting money to pay these wages from? I read yesterday that as well as Gosling they were going to take Illunga and Piqueonne on loan from the Hammers.
  19. It won't make any difference. The PL only gets a relitively small amount of revenue from the European braodcasters compared to what the Far East, Asia, etc pay. So all that will happen is that Sky will pay a bit more than they do for the UK rights and buy the rights for the whole of Europe. They will then sell the Euro rights to the various national braodcasters. No doubt part of that deal will be that they do not sell their services to people in the UK. So we will be back to square one, anyone watching the PL in the UK via a foreign broadcaster will be doing it illegally.
  20. Arsenal have been doing this for about a decade.
  21. 4th would always be preferred by clubs as it hugely increases revenue but to fans it has to be the FA Cup. In ten years time do you think Spudz fans will be talking about how they played in the CL in 2010/11 but if they had won the Cup it would be talked about for decades.
  22. Why would a person set up a second twitter account in their name if they already had one? Makes no sense. And that MLT account seems mainly to contain arguments with Saints fans which I would think it highly unlikely that Matt would get involved with. It's also funny that has never sent a tweet to any of the Sky crew (Stelling has a twitter account) I think it's a FAKE.
  23. Confirmed via another unconfirmed twitter aco**** you mean? If you type in Mitchell Le Tissier twitter into google you get a different account to the one linked to that MLT one... www.twitter.com/mitch91
  24. Are we SURE that that really IS MLT's twitter account? I read on another board that it might be a fake. The entries on it just seem a little too contraversial to be MLT. 'He's' just got some abuse for posting the Downes thing and has responded 'I only report facts not lies' which sounds a bit more like the sort of response you would get from a internet forum regular than MLT. I'm not convinced it's him.
  25. WOW! You have spoken to both our CEO and our manager! You must be really ITK as there has nothing be mentioned in any interview either have given to substatiate this. Since you have these close relationships can you give us any other insights into the club?
