  1. He did an interview on Talksport claiming signs were "looking good" that Clyne would signa new deal. http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-southampton-chief-claims-signs-look-good-nathaniel-clyne-will-pen-new-deal? I wish I could share Les Reed's optimism about Clyne/Rodriguez and Schneiderlin, but all three will decide/have already decided to leave IMO and the club need to focus on getting as much money possible out of it and reinvesting it wisely.
  2. Alderweireld - Obviously we should try to sign him premanently, but the sporting director at Atletico Madrid was quoted at the beginning of April as saying that they were counting on him for next season, so it doesn't look too promising. Elia - Was OK against United and was good against Newcastle, since then he has not done much to impress. If we make the Europa League and the fee/wages are low then maybe, as we will need a bigger squad to cope with the exra games. Djuricic - Spending what seems like a majority of his loan period injured is more than enough reason not to pay 9/9.5m.
  3. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/572944/Southampton-Daryl-Janmaat-Newcastle-exit-Mike-Ashley Another article suggesting Southampton will try and get Janmaat in to replace Clyne. Something to it? Or idle speculation due to the player being a Dutchman who has played under Koeman before?
  4. Alexsandar Dragovic http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/438623/Southampton-Arsenal-Man-United-Alexsandar-Dragovic Quincy Promes http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-set-sights-8million-rated-spartak-5583664
  5. Just searched twitter to see what this Kyle Walker thing was about... Song for Walker at St Mary's this afternoon?
  6. It's from The Sun, reported by Alan Nixon.
  7. Wanyama's categorical denial has magically disappeared from his twitter account. The only denial that remains is that he has not spoken to Wenger directly, which is never claimed or stated.
  8. Steven Davis is having an absolute shocker so far. Rest of the team has been bad, but he stands out as particularly poor so far.
  9. Lallana hauled off at HT for Gerrard. Gerrard sent off in less than a minute, even funnier than his title losing slip last season

  11. Pelle is the antichrist
  12. Referee is diabolical, screwed over on multiple occaisions. Saying that, the team is dominating withot looking remotely like they pose any kind of goal threat. I don't understand why Mane is not playing.
  13. One touch too many every single time.
  14. Noble is injured and Kouyate, who usually plays as a CM for them has to play CB due to injuries to their CBs.
  15. What has Martinez done to Everton? Merseyside derby, at home, and they haven't had a shot on target after an hour.
  16. Not the best performance, but it was the kind of win that can re-ignite a team's confidence.
  17. Funny that Glenn Hoddle is on the books but wasn't trusted to even take charge until a replacement was found. Maybe he did his knee on the landing.
  18. Wayama and Scneiderlin back training this morning. Will they be ready for QPR?
  19. Matri has joined Juventus, so god knows what is going to happen with Osvaldo now.
  20. Echo teasing an update on Vilhena in their Live blog coming in the next few minutes (no doubt to tell us dead is dead or something equally disappointing) edit: Vilhena deal dead, Djuricic only incoming today as it stands according to Adam Leitch
  21. Mokotjo's agent doesn't sound too confident that anything will happen, though the fact he says there is a small chance suggests the interest is there.
  22. According to Ed Maylon on the mirror deadline day blog, we are enquiring aboiut FC Twente's Kamohelo Mokotjo in case Vilhena deal fails
  23. From the Echo: Looks like a long day ahead.
  24. From what has been reported in Italy since he ruined his chances at Inter, it seems clubs have wanted him, but Osvaldo considers himself too good for the likes of Genoa and Torino and won't accept a move to anywhere but Juve or AC Milan.
