Post-Match Reaction: Leicester City 2-0 SAINTS
Bewildered replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Gazzaniga - No chance with the first, could have done better on second. Clyne - If he plays like this next season for Man U, there will be laughs aplenty in the defector thread Fonte - Poor. Combined with Toby to form a guard of honour for Vardy. Fortunately the resulting shot was saved. Toby - Worst he's played all season Bertrand - Not at the races today Wanyama - Arsene better tell him that he doesn't sign players who can't make simple passes. Caught in possession so many times it would be funny if he played for another team. Reed - Won't have convinced the manager of his quality. The effort was there though, unlike many others. Davis - What has happened to him? Absolutely shocking once again. Just let Mahrez shoot for the first goal. Mané - Dive dive dive all day long Pelle - No movement whatsoever. Absolute ****house away from home. Elia - Unbelieveable that this guy once played in a world cup final. Send him back Subs: Long - Offered nothing Djuricic - Added a little bit extra, but not enough. In summary a dire performance that suggests a disinterested team and tactics that need refreshing. -

Bas Dost? Available for 10m euros according to Bild and linked with us by insidefutbol http://www.insidefutbol.com/2015/05/04/bas-dost-aiming-for-summer-wolfsburg-talks/205777/ http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/vfl-wolfsburg/fuer-zehn-mio-darf-er-gehen-40799768.bild.html&prev=search 14 goals in 18 league appearances for Wolfsburg this season. Though it is a bit misleading as he scored 13 goals (including 4 in one game) in 10 games but only scored 1 in his last 6 and he was not impressive at all in his two seasons in Germany before this one so there is a risk he might be a flash in the pan.

Davis Clyne Fonte Toby Bertrand Reed Djuricic Davis Mane Pelle If RK tries Wanyama/Alderweireld in midfield with Yoshida at CB again, we will lose as it doesn't work. I would alos hope not to see Long play again this season unless Koeman goes for a system that involves two up front and even then I think I would prefer Mané next to Pelle.

He did an interview on Talksport claiming signs were "looking good" that Clyne would signa new deal. http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-southampton-chief-claims-signs-look-good-nathaniel-clyne-will-pen-new-deal? I wish I could share Les Reed's optimism about Clyne/Rodriguez and Schneiderlin, but all three will decide/have already decided to leave IMO and the club need to focus on getting as much money possible out of it and reinvesting it wisely.

Alderweireld - Obviously we should try to sign him premanently, but the sporting director at Atletico Madrid was quoted at the beginning of April as saying that they were counting on him for next season, so it doesn't look too promising. Elia - Was OK against United and was good against Newcastle, since then he has not done much to impress. If we make the Europa League and the fee/wages are low then maybe, as we will need a bigger squad to cope with the exra games. Djuricic - Spending what seems like a majority of his loan period injured is more than enough reason not to pay 9/9.5m.

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/572944/Southampton-Daryl-Janmaat-Newcastle-exit-Mike-Ashley Another article suggesting Southampton will try and get Janmaat in to replace Clyne. Something to it? Or idle speculation due to the player being a Dutchman who has played under Koeman before?

Just searched twitter to see what this Kyle Walker thing was about... Song for Walker at St Mary's this afternoon?
-
It's from The Sun, reported by Alan Nixon.

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him
Bewildered replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Wanyama's categorical denial has magically disappeared from his twitter account. The only denial that remains is that he has not spoken to Wenger directly, which is never claimed or stated. -
Steven Davis is having an absolute shocker so far. Rest of the team has been bad, but he stands out as particularly poor so far.
-
PELLE!
-
Lallana hauled off at HT for Gerrard. Gerrard sent off in less than a minute, even funnier than his title losing slip last season

Pelle is the antichrist

Referee is diabolical, screwed over on multiple occaisions. Saying that, the team is dominating withot looking remotely like they pose any kind of goal threat. I don't understand why Mane is not playing.
-
One touch too many every single time.
-
Noble is injured and Kouyate, who usually plays as a CM for them has to play CB due to injuries to their CBs.
-
What has Martinez done to Everton? Merseyside derby, at home, and they haven't had a shot on target after an hour.

Post-Match Reaction: Queens Park Rangers 0-1 SAINTS
Bewildered replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Not the best performance, but it was the kind of win that can re-ignite a team's confidence. -
Funny that Glenn Hoddle is on the books but wasn't trusted to even take charge until a replacement was found. Maybe he did his knee on the landing.
-
Wayama and Scneiderlin back training this morning. Will they be ready for QPR?
-
Matri has joined Juventus, so god knows what is going to happen with Osvaldo now.

Echo teasing an update on Vilhena in their Live blog coming in the next few minutes (no doubt to tell us dead is dead or something equally disappointing) edit: Vilhena deal dead, Djuricic only incoming today as it stands according to Adam Leitch
