Reading this thread, it occurred to me that we never really finish PL seasons well and the stats seem to bear that out: - Only once in our last 8 PL seasons has our final 8 game PPG average been higher than the season average; 2012-2013: 1.25 vs 1.08 - In those seasons, we have won just 22.9% of our last 6 games: 11/48 We're going to have to turn around that trend to get anywhere close.

He also said we finish seasons well. Haven't done that in the last three, that's for sure.

Thanks Doc. They said the same about Aaron Ramsey. I'm not giving up on Jay that's for sure

Makes you wonder where we'd be if he'd been fit all season -
From memory, that was the highest scoring day in PL history
-
That's exactly what he hasn't been doing

When will we concede? I'll go 61' and 79'

Never a red

Time for Tadic I think

The sitting back has started early

Have we confirmed our overseas yet? I was under the impression we were trying to get McLaren on a kolpak deal. Someone like Rabada or Clarke would be amazing

It's weird. I loved that kit at the time but really hate it now. What a game though

Gaston.... .the cost of being a Saint...

Pretty average. I was just highlighting his best bits -
Would be fantastic to have him back and fit, he'd fit this current system really well. Does anyone know exactly what injury he's had and whether it's related to the knee injury at all?

Whilst I agree that Ronald has been a better manager for us than Ball it's worth remembering the demographic of twitter users will skew the results. You'd have to be at least 30 to even remember Ball as manager and I'm not sure how many of these voters are. It'll be the same affect when we get to McMenemy

His best goal was away at Everton I seem to remember in 2012-2013 His best performance was at home to Newcastle when we won 2-0. That was an important game which made us feel like we could belong at this level. -
Just the one. It's only violent conduct and bad challenges that get three

Went to Watford v Newcastle today. Newcastle are good between the two boxes but really lacking upfront and very error prone defensively. Not a great combo! Fancy Watford to struggle next year if Ighalo goes. He's very good. Everything goes through him and Deeney
-
I think it gets moved to Sunday lunchtime. There was a slot there for Swansea v Watford yesterday if either of them drew their 3rd round games and needed to play this midweek

I always liked Rickie's raised fist to the fans after being mobbed by his teammates. Simple

If it's now a club policy to buy players who regularly score against us, then I look forward to the imminent arrivals of Lukaku, Benteke, Aguero and Jamie Cureton..

Their full backs in particular look awful. Got to get after them
