I think we'll see Saints' deep ingrained inferiority complex come to the fore again here. 2-0 Liverpool
-
He'll get completely found out in the South African tests, although his T20 international record is very good. Him and Roy are very set in stone, despite Roy's fairly average record for England
-
Great to see. Although he still won't make the world cup starting 11. They'll go with Roy, Hales, Root, Morgan, Buttler, Ali, Billings as the top 7.
-
It annoys me how good they are looking at the minute. The funny thing about Leicester is that they are still only 4 points clear of 5th. At this stage last season, we were 7 points clear

When was the last time we scored a decisive late goal at home?

That is indeed the last one -
Stoke haven't conceded a goal away from home in two and a half months. Think this will be 1-1
-
Looks like Ian Bell will be kicking around the county circuit next season. Very very good at this level
-
I was about to post something very similar. Hopefully one of the youngsters will push Adams for his place at the top of the order. Personally I like Vince at 4 but I can see why they prefer the solidity of Smith in an otherwise fairly gung-ho middle order

Poch is building the kind of side Cortese would be proud of
-
There's almost certainly one CL place up for grabs now. Liverpool and Tottenham must be champing at the bit. Can't see Leicester keeping up the pace, just like us last season
-
It's worth praising the away record we're currently on. 6 unbeaten is the longest run we've had in the top flight since 1987, and only 4 conceded. This after losing the last 5 away games last season

Eastleigh ahead in the FA Cup

Also, I know I should really ignore him, but Redknapp said on BT earlier that Bournemouth were the best team to come out of the Championship in the last 10 years. Really Harry? Better than the Reading side that amassed 106 points then went on to finish 8th the next year? Better than the Swansea and Stoke sides that have gone on to thrive in the following 6-8 years? Better than even our side, 4 of whom have gone on to play in the champions league?

Bournemouth v Newcastle first up. Bournemouth really have to win you feel. Vardy should make it 9 in a row later
-
It honestly evens itself out. Fonte gets away with a lot in our own box and Targett has been under-penalised in the games he's played Notwithstanding, it's time to introduce technology to the game in the form of referrals. All other major sports have it now pretty much and it doesn't seem to harm them too much
-
It was just so odd. I mean, we had a front two of Pelle and Rodriguez, and a supply line of Martina and Targett (as attacking wing backs), Davis, JWP and Romeu. Utterly ridiculous and I still have this nagging suspicion Koeman threw the competition but wanted to maintain the party line of 'we want to do well in it'.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 2-0 Bournemouth

Really fear for Bournemouth. Quite simply have to win next week because it's difficult to see where they're getting 30 more points from -
He misses Morgan alongside him I think to look a bit more silky. Putting money on him getting a yellow card is simply printing cash at the minute

3 points in the Premier league. Not to be sniffed at -
Loving Clasie's work so far
-
Mane vs Distin should be worth the entrance fee alone. Let's be honest, they are a very average side, severely weakened and low on confidence. Anything but a win would be a really poor result

Was that Mirror reporter watching the same game as me? Thought Davis was our worst player

Saints V Villa Build Up Thread Capital One Cup

Stek Cedric Fonte Van Dijk Targett Romeu Davis Tadic Ramirez Juanmi Pelle -
Decent point. 4 nice games coming up now, let's go for it!

Never looked like scoring today really
