Remember reading how this Leicester fan couldn’t attend work when their owner died in October
-
yep remember that day, biggest smash and grab at SMS of the season that was. I remember losing all hope though when we brought on Guly that day to try and save the match
-
He is, but I think 3 of the 7 were penalties, so has his return warranted a £20m fee based on appearances made/goal contribution- I’d suggest no, but I suppose this is the new era of transfer fees and that is what £20m gets you. I suppose I’d have rather paid £20m for Ings than £19m for Solanke
-
Nah, I think they moved City’s forward because they are righting on four fronts and are likely to do so, so best to get the game out of the way on the off chance that City struggle to find the time later. I’m presuming PL think that they’ll definitely find space/time for Chelsea’s game against Brighton nearer time in April/May, especially now that replays from 5th round onwards have been removed Or I could be completely wrong and this is all Pep’s plan to rearrange the game earlier just so he can get the points on board to put pressure on Liverpool and Everton being their Merseyside rivals obliged

just putting my thought behind his reasoning, cos both do have equally massive, yet very different implications. If Liverpool had kept Clyne, they may have won the league Equally, if we had kept Cedric, we could have guaranteed our survival. Of course the above is a very basic way of looking at it, and by no means am I saying Clyne leaving is the sole reason Liverpool won't win the league, but unless we have hindsight, it could have made that marginal difference in both cases, maybe Liverpool would have won had they played Clyne yesterday and Milner slotted into CM instead? It's all hypothetical above really, not so much my view except if we were able to keep Cedric for an additional 6 months (and forgo the wages saved for 6 months- relegation costs more!), then I would have done so, and I presume that he would have been happy to continue playing for us for another 6 months.
-
yep. or the only other option I can see is that if we are forced to buy, then offer a contract with heavy incentives based on appearances/goal contributions but a lower basic wage (I doubt he would accept a pay as you play contract of course- are these even about anymore?)

I don't want to be pessimistic but if we are losing to Cardiff at home, suddenly that panic and fear creeps in and relegation doubts appear closer I suspect Burnley and Newcastle would prefer us to be one of the teams that also inflicts Cardiff further into the mire in the way the bottom 3 slowly become cast off from others.

Redmond was the Juanmi replacement. Boufal was the Mane replacement.

fighting to finish in the single digits on a regular basis

boys are telling stories about the man.

Cardiff winning 1-0. great lol :/
-
yep, huge. I'd say must win too tbh- still remember that game in the Poch season when they beat us 1-0 at ours in a proper smash and grab. It's hard to predict an exact line up without knowing injury statuses of Bertrand/Lemina/PEH and Ings, but I'd like to shift them 4 in as soon as possible. Of course, in terms of predictions though, going to go 2-1 us. I don't see a clean sheet within us and think their goal will come either side of ours

so annoying that- a draw is tbf the right result on the balance of the game for both teams but the circumstances make it slightly sickening- just 1 more minute to see out and Stephens has his hand in a position where it did not need to be- hence why it was given as a penalty, and let's not forget the one they could have had in first half too. oh well, moving onwards, result does not matter too much if our sole aim is to just stay up, as that cardiff home game in a week's time has far bigger implications and is a must win to be honest. Redmond our man of the match for me purely for making the goal out of nothing.

1-1 FT

penalty burnley goal ffs
-
Burnley knocking at the door! edgy 8/9 mins to go. better game in the 2nd half this
-
crouch getting ready to come on then
-
GOAL SAINTS!
-
half time 0-0 find myself yawning at times watching the stream, dull game really from both! oh well
-
yep it was a Burnley penalty. they haven't had a penalty in 67 games apparently!
-
never on another note- ings should never play 90 mins in a game- just asking for an injury the next game. pool have pulled our pants down with that transfer
-
Ings gone lol. wow
-
just like we are then! burnley's media team show their formation clear as day below!
