  1. can't believe the fake 'leak' posted on here is also being reported in the Daily Mail tbf though I am excited for the fixture list tomorrow, personally I like to see when the London away games are as well as Boxing Day.

    Nathan Redmond

Maddison in the U21 Euros instead (along with Gunn might I add), all part of Southgates ‘ethos’ of getting valuable tournament experience instead and building relationship on pitch with his age group for future generation apparently
  3. we've had that for a while yet still been rubbish. I'd prefer we get back to a solid 15/16 man squad on good wages, and the rest all academy imports.
  4. yep, let's not forget other supposed young talents we brought in Jack Rose and Harry Lewis- one of them was touted as being the next Joe Hart (albeit only due to the Shrewsbury link), but still, they are both behind Forster- one of them could have been the 3rd choice surely. Although, in some respect I'm probably being slightly harsh because I presume they're still very young.
  5. as in applying that method to the Playoffs (3rd/4th/5th and 6th) etc etc
  6. exciting stuff then my only wish with this move is that we do not give him high wages, hopefully not more than £30k anyway.
  7. adult replica shirt now gone up to £55, and a youth shirt at £42! The 'authentic' one is priced at £100. 2018-19 shirts remain priced at £35 on 'sale'. the cost of football continues to rise.
  8. This year they never came below £35, and even now the price is still £35.
  9. their league form took a tumble (perhaps as a result of one eye being on the FA Cup final, who knows?) they were on for 7th place for much of the season, finished 11th in the end
  10. something like Watfords season would be good, even if theirs did peter out a bit. but tbh i cant make any expectations until we see our incomings and outcomings, because right now with this squad my expectation is no more than 13th/14th.
  11. i actually really like the white kit, may purchase that one if a deal ever comes on. really not a fan of the home (and like many others, because of the black). black away kit is okay, has a hint of Dortmund about it. ----- but at the end of the day, I'm not too fussed, think we'd all rather have some quality players in the gash kit then vice versa
  12. perhaps the ‘Y’ signifies the Chinese Yuan.
  13. well the play-off final is already being billed by some as Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole vs John Terry
  14. it's all for manipulation and drama purposes. let's be honest if those lie detectors were genuine then they would use them in court or somewhere similar.
  15. https://s2-sfc.thirdlight.com/file/54778880507/width=1050 yes we got this trophy lol
  16. That was the league 2-2, Jay Rod scored early on but we let a 2 goal lead slip (in Poch 2013-14 season)
  17. I’d accept anything* if it pays the most *edit: my mate next to me said what if it was ISIS, perhaps not everything then
  18. My guess is because block 37/38 might be the Kosovo away end, so best to keep the ‘singers’ on the other side.
  19. this will no longer happen for the next 3-5 years I think. UEFA now guarantee a Champions League Group Stage Spot to the top 4 teams in Germany, England and Spain and Italy. (Even 4th place no longer have to go through qualifying) All part of UEFAs plan really to make the CL a closed shop it seems. I'm kind of hoping this new Europa League 2 takes off though and gives clubs like us a chance to play in Europe- for all the gloss of the Champions League and what not, it is the same 8 teams basically in the latter stages every year, bar the odd exception such as Ajax this season, Roma last and Monaco the year before.
  20. Well if they worked and played bloody better both this season and in the last then they can have their dream ‘CL move’!!!
  21. he should have taken it to the corner towards the end there!!! I would prefer Spurs to win over Liverpool tbh
  22. think i remember reading something about how they compile the fixture lists- the premier league have a rule where none of the top 6 can play each other on the final day of the PL. edit: yes here below. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/top-six-given-priority-over-key-fixtures-qz9z85c90 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5702761/Premier-League-deliberately-arrange-fixtures-six-clubs-not-meet-weekend.html
  23. wouldn't say easily- Puel won in the last league meetings between the 2, and in the league cup both this season and last, the game went to pens. puel also got a 1-1 draw for us against City in peps first season. though I suppose these are all also peppered in between some hammerings he had against City too. anyway- reckon City will win but will be tight, with no KDB and fernandinho. gonna say 2-1, sterling to run past jonny evans or something for one of them
  24. Yes I agree tbh- I actually would prefer we change our wage structure slightly- any incoming transfers should not be offered more than £40k a week- and if that reduces the pool of players we get to choose from then so be it- we have players like Elyounoussi on like £60k a week, who if I recall correctly said something during the international break about how that has set him up for life. Bednarek I think is an example on the lower end of the wage scale (like £20-30k) in comparison to his peers That way, it gives a sense of progression and maybe a motivation to improve to get on even bigger wages, either with us or for a top 6 club, and equally, should the player not perform, then well it makes it easier to offload too- and perhaps we might be doing that anyway with the way Ralph went on about buying players who would be 'on their 2nd contract' If they do perform fairly consistently well after say 2 seasons, then yeah sure, offer them £80k-100k (Or sell them!)- I feel that is the balance we need- superstars who warrant that pay (like Palace do with Zaha or how Leicester do with Vardy), and the rest all on £40k a week or less. I guess that might even be the agenda soon anyway- a solid 13/14 players and then the rest from the academy on £20k or less. Stephens/Hoedt/Elyounoussi/Boufal/Austin and other players on bench/on loan should never be earning more than a starting 11 player, and as a club we have far too many of those.
