  1. I want to be bold a predict a 2-1 or a 1-0 victory, but I just think we’ll lose 1-0 but somewhat valiantly as per i.e. we’ll test Gazzaniga a fair few times. So yeah, prediction: Spurs to grind out a 1-0 victory, Alli to score- but the performance won’t be as bad as WHU.
  2. This is unchartered territory. Feel very good
  3. 9-0...
  4. Ultimately it is because we have the worst if not 2nd worst centreback pairing in the PL. Others have no nonsense centrebacks, we have sh*te. I wish we had like a Dunk/Cahill figure near Bednarek. Heck, I’d even take Scott Dann over either. Hopefully this is something we will address going forward- signings should not always be in the U24 mould- even Jonny Evans be good now and that is a signing we wouldn’t have made in a million years
  5. 5 minutes for Adams what is the ptt
  6. Where are the subs
  7. this could easily be a league 1 game
  8. Antonio one was more a pen shout than the Haller one that was being looked at. 50 years ago it never would have even been looked at hate the way its so stop start now because footballers go down so easily
  9. Yep have a rubbish feeling too- feel this’ll go the same way Everton game did - can only hope players feel confident and the fans going get behind them more than my downbeat mood! I don’t think Stephens or Bednarek will be able to keep Haller out- so him scoring and WHU win is the betting agenda Anyhow- come on Saintsss
  10. Urghhh so predictable- I just don’t know if it is because of fitness or some fragile mentality- we must have one of the worst records post 80th minute
  11. Happy with that draw
  12. Give me either an easy home draw or an away London club like QPR/Millwall/Brentford/Charlton pleaseee
  13. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42042018 The stats suggest otherwise but yes Everton were diabolical.
  14. The 4-1 vs Everton at home with Pellegrino, though with hindsight that result meant he stayed 3 months longer than he should have and bought him some time! Otherwise nothing really springs to mind- the last game I celebrated over the moon though was that Swansea win given the background behind it too. I am surprised it doesn’t get talked about more given the implications of the game.
  15. If a new manager bounce only happens because said manager implements new ideas and tactics then Ralph needs to do something similar or it’ll be curtains unfortunately. I do think for the record he’ll be given till Boxing Day where we just have to find 4 wins from our next 8/9 games from somewhere. I’d like to see us return to a 4231 or even a 433 given we have no target man player.
  16. Everton W (will predict us winning 2-0) Arsenal L (think this will be a thumping Arsenal win too after an international break) Watford D (on Sky Sports against a somewhat bogey team at home) Norwich W (not resounding mind, a bog standard 1-0) Newcastle L (hate going up there, 2-1 to Newcastle)
  17. McCarthy JWP Stephens Bednarek Danso Cedric PEH Romeu Boufal Redmond Ings ------------------ This isn't what I would play but think what Ralph will play. I'd prefer a 4231 with McCarthy, Valery, Bednarek, Danso, Cedric, PEH, Romeu, Redmond, Boufal, Ings, Adams
  18. what I don't understand is why our players need to be rested when we don't have any other European commitments- should have started what we will start this Saturday in the PL game Players like Mane/Salah/Firmino amongst other PL players like De Bruyne and a whole host of European stars manage playing PL then CL. Yet we had some urge to not play Redmond/Ings etc As for yesterday, somewhat expected really- a shame that even City's reserves can keep the ball like that- the goals we conceded were poor as well why do we seem to leave top strikers unmarked. Everton at home will be defining
  19. if we can't stop them in midfield with a 1-8-2 formation, what chance will we have with a 433/4222/4231 this has been more of the same dogsh*te, half expected I suppose with that line up, but would it really have killed to play Redmond/Adams or Ings. 2-0 ffs
  20. Yep agree with this. Even Sunderland stayed up when they lost 8-0 to us
  21. McCarthy Valery Bednarek Danso Cedric Romeu PEH Redmond Boufal Long Ings In fairness I feel for Ralph because I really don’t know who to start after that sh*tshow, and truth be told whatever he starts he will get some sort of criticism for. However, drop the 3 centrebacks- they’re all **** and Friday encapsulated that- let’s play 4. Pep will still play a strong team (well it isn’t hard to with that squad) but will expect Walker, Otamendi, Stones, Foden, Mahrez, Jesus all to start- and they’ll certainly be smelling blood too.
  22. Yep, also want to say that Europa League campaign was somewhat a poisoned chalice and really when the squad started to get bloated. We also shot ourselves in the foot giving high wages to average £10-£15m players (who have done nothing of note apart from display ‘potential’), when those wages should be saved for those who have consistently played well (either for us for at least 2 years) or for anyone who has actually come in with a pedigree in the £25m-£35m range.
  23. Nothing will happen. In my opinion the silence speaks more volume
  24. I’ve had a mate who sent me a message saying ‘so when are the highlights uploaded on P**nhub’ At this point I don’t care and can only laugh. Stick to away games only
  25. well you do need an instant impact to buy the fans trust! most if not 99% could see within the first 8 weeks he wasn't up to scratch except the 2 most important of all! Reed and Krueger! With hindsight those draws and that 4-1 win over Everton just papered over the cracks and brought him more time he did not deserve- that £19m I genuinely think should go down as one of worlds worst signing- at least Ali Dia only cost a months wage
