I mean is it comparable to say that my best mate hates all dogs because when younger he was attacked by one- literally runs when he sees one. So understandable that sometimes the past can lead to kneejerk emotional responses. however the point is we need to treat all equally and not tar everyone with the same brush/stereotype- i think that much should be obvious. I can already picture DM headlines should there be a second spike using protestors/ravers as the headline photos for a second wave, whilst pictures of Liverpool fans gathering or the packed beaches will be overlooked.

Yep agree but equally if he did end up at Everton and played well then we would have rued the missed opportunity. I think it was a punt worth taking for a Championship player who scored around 20 goals I think and he still has time on his side. I honestly think his confidence is just shot but once he gets that first goal he’ll have a huge weight off his shoulder. I’d start him with Ings on Saturday but ultimately none of us see what he’s like on training or his fitness after the 3 month holiday.

Deserved tbh well done Arsenal. Let’s dust off and move on
-
Prediction now- we concede on the counter from our corner! edit: glad to be wrong
-
If anything it is the reason why I’m watching on their Football channel rather their Main Event
-
Does Ralph read the forum? 😉

and perhaps Nketiah should have scored for them there. whilst the goal was shocking, Arsenal winning is a fair reflection on this half
-
Can anyone actually tell what our formation is or our shape? I get being flexible but we look all over the place. PEH is playing deeper, Bertrand sometimes pushes into CB like a 3atb? just seems all over the place
-
I’d like Long and KWP on in the 2nd half
-
My god aubameyang should have scored there
-
Martinelli is out for them- an Arsenal mate of mine said he’ll be somewhat of a miss and has been baffled as to why Arteta hasn’t played him more, meant to be a spark for them so now Arteta hasn’t got any chance of playing him. i just don’t see Arsenal losing 3 in a row no matter how much we look favourites- its the Saints way to create expectations and build hope only to come crashing down on the final whistle!

The sentiment I hold is that he is a midtable player at a midtable side, at best would make a top 6 reserve in my opinion. He wouldn’t get into the 2014-15/ 2015/16 sides that qualified for Europe for us. But, my fears lie in getting a replacement. Finding midtable players like him is tough in itself- Fulham spent £30m on players like Zambo Anguissa who was awful. Proven players will go for £60m. On the contrary bargains like Kante are out there I’m sure but will we find it them? It remains to be seen. If someone offered £25m I would sell (even though we want £35m). Any less I’d keep I think

To be fair to MLG- I’d prefer us to finish in a European spot this season, finishing 7th (assuming that 8th doesnt do it for us because City are allowed to play in Europe) would cap an excellent end to the season. It might even convince some of those nearing the end of their contracts to resign and would make us a very attractive proposition for next season to anyone who wants to come here. Although having said all of above, if fans aren’t allowed in the stadiums for next season’s European campaign then I’d rather we qualified for the following year!!!

Ideally I’d pick West Ham and Aston Villa to go down There are suggestions Bournemouth would go under if they went down this season, so let em have one more seasons worth of PL money I think to fix that- don’t really mind them in the PL in fairness - they’re not a long term rival as such.
-
Hmm tough question 4-0 away to Sunderland (okay fine more than 3-0!!) comes to mind. Otherwise the 3-0 win against WHU which came before early on in the Puel season. anyways- with regards to game. Quality stuff very proud of them all. Slow start and lucky that Drmic for them was rusty and messed up. After that we were almost faultless and deserved to win comprehensively. The only negative, for me is Adams or Obafemi didn’t score- want either of them to come good!!!
-
Well I could be wrong but a lot of them if not all the major leagues have a timeout of some sort? and then we’ll get more adverts thrown at our faces too when they are able to commercialise it for TV viewers.

The Americanisation of our game
-
Training ground vibes but millions riding on it for clubs! not been impressed with Valery thus far, and Bertrand also looks somewhat unfit- not bombing down as much but still early days
-
If Adams starts for us might stick a tenner on him to score! i am blindly optimistic- so whilst I still have no faith in our defence to keep a clean sheet, gonna go for an Ings and Armstrong goal tonight! Redmond to set both up

Haha I have no answer to what the magic formula is but I’d prefer a 38 game season for 2020-21 and be done with this one The fixation on finishing this season seems so huge but the problem is money and the PL has too much it owes to people if it can’t fulfil the 38 game season it promised to sponsors/sky etc etc So surely voiding and taking the hit now to get ready for 38 games next season is best bet?! (At least preparing something for next season means we can also fix all conditions so nothing is unfair) Perhaps instead of a formula then they can finish this season with a series of play offs and award Liverpool the title? (Award is not the same as winning) They’ll be lawsuits no matter what though.
-
Personally I think this home factor coming in etc is becoming tedious- Villa have said they’ll suffer a £200m loss or something if they go down- well if season carried on as normal and they went down would this still not apply? So then it is their fault for being in this position anyway. Brighton have cried saying home atmosphere is gone when they only have like 4 wins out of 14 anyway. I think we need to null and void and settle the season on some sort of magical formula- what we need is a formula in the vein Duckworth Lewis Stern does for cricket, which whilst still has its flaws of course but let the mathematicians come out! The alternative is to offer current top 6 championship clubs or something a good chunk of PL money but in truth there is no answer to this all someone will get upset. I’m just glad it isn’t us embroiled in this!
-
They’ll definitely try their best to finish this season off. If we void the season now, means the PL lose out on £800m/owe it back to Sky+BT and overseas. You gotta remember clubs like Villa have already spent money expecting to receive that money, etc etc etc. I think the leagues take precedence, so fully expect behind closed doors fixtures as soon as testing becomes more widely available.
-
The thing with voiding the season is that it is all about money. Cancelling next season (to finish off this one) would be far worse (tbf only Pool fans want this) They will definitely try to finish the season off somehow, and then my bet is next season will be modified as much as possible without leaving a financial dent i.e. remove replays/remove league cup/single legged European ties I think the PL will be missing out on £800m if they can’t finish the season off.

Can I get a refund for Sky/BT Sport if there’ll be nothing to watch
