  1. OMGGGGG!!!!
  2. 343 for me Gunn Valery Yoshida Bednarek Danso Bertrand PEH Romeu Djenepo Adams Redmond Boufal/Ings/Armstrong can be the attacking subs. I see little need for Vestegaard as there are no target men and Utd attack are fairly fast, as were Pool’s last week so let’s have our slightly faster CB’s on. Usually, well 15 or more years ago we’d have said these are a Utd banker, but think we are more than in it should things go our way just like it did today.
  3. Cedric for JWP, Djenepo (or Boufal) for Bednarek would be my subs. 4222 isn’t working when our attacking winger JWP is slow.
  4. our individual match day pricing is an absolute joke this year- the Liverpool game only just about sold out (think it only went to the ticket exchange 3 days before the game). I don't have any membership but I brought a ticket for the Liverpool game and got an email almost instantly after my purchase saying that if I buy a season ticket, they'd give me back the money I paid for the Pool game- so if I had brought a £399 ST then would have had £50 discount. I think we will struggle in many a case to shift tickets, but will know for sure when the smaller clubs come to town. The games against Utd/Liverpool last season (and beyond) would have sold in out a couple of days as soon as they went on sale to anyone with a purchase history- the Utd game has been on sale in that criteria for 2 weeks now and still loads left!!!
  5. Disappointing really, particularly in the context of things given they had played 120 minutes midweek past midnight in Istanbul, yet they looked just as fit as us if not more at times. I always thought VVD got all his defensive headers correct, as in they always fell to a Pool player whereas our headers were more ‘head and hope’. A point would have been fitting but Ings should have finished that chance, and we had other decent opportunities with the Yoshida and Adams heading opportunities. I am not sure what to make of it, I don’t think we will be relegated but even top 10 appears a distant dream at the moment. Somewhere around 15th/16th is more befitting. I would kind of like Ralph to drop the 3 at the back. Instead of 3 sh*t centrebacks lets play 2 and see if we can outscore the opposition instead through playing a Djenepo (who had a good cameo might I add) or even Obafemi.
  6. Said it somewhere before, but: Danso in the moonlight Everybodys feeling red and white Its such a fine and natural sight Danso keeps it watertighttt
  7. Fulham away, pleased with that in the sense that Craven is one of my favourite away days! Though would have wanted Pompey and if not that, then would have preferred a League 2/League 1 side
  8. Brighton away. I will try and abstain from jumping to a conclusion after just one game. Brighton won’t be world beaters even if their 3-0 win was impressive whereas we imploded. I will suggest that Brighton will suffer eventually following a new manager bounce (perhaps much like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United last season)- but somewhat optimistically going to say Brighton away will be a flukey 1-0 win to us!
  9. I wish Champions League was for league winners only and we had the cup winners cup back! But tbf, although i cant say i have read a lot on it, the Europa League 2 (UEL2) seems interesting. In our practically globalised world would love a European competition for teams that finished from say 7th-10th in the top 5 leagues, and say the league champions from other smaller European nations. Ultimately, a club like ours, and this goes for the rest of the other 14 (bar potentially Everton) can at best hope for one stab at a European campaign before they wait god knows how long for another one.
  10. Who do you think you are? James f**k Bond?
  11. DANSO in the moonlight, Everybody's feelin' warm and bright It's such a fine and natural sight Watching DANSO keep em out of strikeeeee New chant klaxon? To the tune of dancing in the moonlight by toploader. Feel free to adjust and change haha —
  12. yep agreed- finishing just 2 positions higher for example would net an extra £4m to £5m. Gunn's mistake against Huddersfield cost us £2m last year
  13. surely to those bleating for a new CB can see we already have 5, and given that we failed to sell at least 1 means we can't really buy another? I am actually less concerned about the CB situation and worried more so for our midfield, as after PEH/Romeu I don't rate anyone else in the CM/CDM role (and Lemina has clearly gone AWOL).
  14. some blame must lie with UA if this is the case then- why use a sh*t 3rd party then for printing on the logo?
  15. have to say Lemina has played this poorly It isn't even like we are asking for the world with him in terms of asking price yet he remains sidelined.
  16. agree with the sentiments, I am all for VAR but would not like to celebrate a goal 2 minutes after it has been scored. perhaps we should leave a margin for error (like Cricket does with umpires call?), or in a way where any offside that isn't clear at first sight should just be accepted- when we start having conversations about whether the arm is offside/scenario where the head is offside by 2mm etc then i think it gets ridiculous... when VAR should be used is when it is clear and obvious... e.g. Gabbiadini's goal against Utd in league cup final. So, the lino should always let play go on when offside becomes fractional- he should only flag when it is, perhaps 1 yard or more clearly offside. after all we want goals right (scored by saints hehe)
  17. If I am going to St Mary's or any other stadium, then any time on the Saturday I am happy with (but 3pm is still best of course). Sunday is fine too, but generally speaking all weekday games means I have to make compromises- have to take a half day at work, get no opportunity to go pub/restaurant before hand and it is all a rush (even though games under the lights are sometimes special) but honestly I love coming home from work and watching Monday Night Football so I'm in favour of keeping it (just preferably when it isn't us playing).
  18. read it myself too- not meant to be taken seriously!!! gave me a chuckle! although win at the Etihad would be nice.
  19. already done that- was day before the Preston game (hence the slightly surprising lineup) and we won 3-0.
  20. not watching the game but saw their goal from the 56 second clip on Twitter lost the ball in the middle left us very vulnerable defence all over the place (especially Vestegaard I thought) but to be honest, i don't mind. i actually hope we are threatened more so we aren't lulled into a false sense of security! then we can iron out those deficiencies come the Burnley game! however, also praise to Redmond and Adams for leading the press for our goal.
  21. Well they’ve actually opened that in Birmingham No surprises really that the biggest one in Europe is built there
  22. Can’t say I blame him, would do the same. He will earn mega money up there first of all (rumours of up to £1m a week!) Secondly he’ll still get into the Welsh team whether he plays im China or whether he plays in the Conference. Finally, hes won everything there is in Spain, and I’m sure he knows he ain’t winning the PL anytime soon umless City wants him (which they don’t so)
  23. kingfisher my go to beer with a curry if cobra not available. would have preferred something else perhaps but beer is beer.
  24. very early for a build up thread, should have waited after Koln game. if we make any new signings after that Koln game, then I highly doubt they will play, so reckon the first 11 for that game will only be anyone we have in our squad as of today. I think we will play 3 at the back, and look to counter attack with the pace of Redmond/Adams and Ings in the number 10 (and dare I say it, Long (who as a 2nd half sub will be key))
  25. well Forsters still here. exactly who you want right? good players will always leave us for better things- and ive learnt to like that now- would rather they become a success with us then move on if we receive a decent fee. the only day that would ever stop would be if FIFA/UEFA/FA etc imposed a wage cap across the leagues, but that'll never happen. they're tryna make it a more closed shop if anything.
