Fingers crossed this is true and not you floating this story to wind up saints fans

The Strokes at Hyde Park were phenomenal. Support acts Syd Arthur and Future Islands were great (check out the dance moves of the Future Islands' lead singer, his body-rolling puts Beyonce to shame!), Beck got everyone in the crowd going except me and my friend - just didn't get it. Seeing the Strokes live is one ticked off the bucket list and they didn't disappoint.

Fixtures out tomorrow - who will we get first game?
Beckenham Saint replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Me and my Grandad are going to the Dylan concert on the 30th and were hoping for a home game that weekend so we could stay in the city and get to the match, Bournemouth home on the 31st is perfect! -
CONFIRMED: Cédric to Saints on four-year deal
Beckenham Saint replied to JxgrSaint's topic in The Saints
Tony Barrett @TonyBarretTimes 53s54 seconds ago Southampton have beaten off competition from Stoke City for Cedric Soares and have agreed a deal to sign the Sporting Lisbon right back. -
They got promoted last year, they're back in Serie A.

I think it's (genuinely) so they top the tables at the start of the season. One of our media guys tweeted a "things you need to know about Bournemouth" when they got promoted and that was the reason given on that list. -
Already a legend in my eyes, amazing character, thoroughly likable and brilliant manager. Would love if he's here beyond the original 3 year contract.
-
Have Liverpool not got any money left after giving it all to us last year?? Two free transfers so far and trying to get Ings for as little as possible it seems.

First in my mind is that game against Leeds where they threw everything at us stands out in my mind as the day I knew we were going up. I still get nervous watching it expecting Leeds to score even though I've known the result for a few years! Some of Barnard's goals in L1 were important, especially the one after Jonno Quick's quick brace. At 0-2 down that day I was expecting a slump at the end of the season off the back of that game at the Valley (which still annoys me to this day, to think about it!) but winning that put us back on a great run at the end of the year. In the Championship, I felt the home wins over Leeds, West Ham and Middlesbrough were important, three of the "bigger" teams in the league so to beat them was important as it showed we deserved to be up there. Rickie's hat-trick and last minute winner vs Milwall was another one of them moments where you could start dreaming of being a league higher next season. In terms of my favourite goal at St. Marys (since we've been back in the Prem), Clyne's vs. Villa, Morgan's Vs. Liverpool, Lambert's free kick vs Chelsea is up there, Lallana vs Hull and Lambert vs United. This year it would be Pellé's bicycle kick vs QPR, his second goal vs Sunderland, Long vs Leicester and Mané's third against Villa. Not many! haha

He's a magician with the ball at his feet but he wouldn't come here and we wouldn't have him. I'd like to see it though!

The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread
Beckenham Saint replied to The9's topic in The Saints
Out of interest The9, does the Europa League kit have to be the same as our kit with solid back panels or could we be allowed to do something completely different, hypothetically speaking, could we have an Air Florida style shirt for Europe and stripes for the league? -
To be fair on his Facebook he's posted the same picture but also another one with his mrs and the caption "Somewhere on planet Earth ... Thinking about what the future holds .... #Withmy❤ #VacationTime" So he could be thinking about what the future holds with her... Clutching at straws?
-
Good luck to him. Great manager for us and a true gentleman. Will now watch Sheffield as I did Reading as a result of him being there.
-
I don't want to go all MLG on you, but 17 of his 21 appearances in the league were as starter
-
He made 21 league appearances!

One of the things I'm going to miss about the football season is this blog! Thanks for this

Goalkeepers- Forster-8 Can see why they call him The Great Wall. Immense at times although could do better with low shots, understandable why it might take him some time to get down though! Davis-7 Great servant to the club, very reliable when called upon. Gazzaniga-5 Defenders Clyne-7 Has been solid all season and makes his position look easy, I felt he was a little off the boil since Feb... Fonte-9 Great leader, does worry me in the box sometimes as he could have given away more penalties with less lenient refs. So reliable and vital to the team. Toby-9 Class act, best defender I've ever seen in a saints shirt. Yoshida-8 Gardos-5 Bertrand-9 Improvement on Shaw. Makes the team stronger. Targett-7 Midfielders- Davis-7 Thought he started well and has a good work rate. Important player but shocking in front of goal this year. Wanyama-9 Tank. Incredible strength and I feel less like conceding when he's on the pitch. Pleased he popped up with a couple of great goals. Reed-8 Thought he was solid and energetic when called upon, think he will go on to be a great player. JWP-7 Morgan-9 Class act. Doesn't make mistakes and some of his passing is mesmerizing. Tadic-8 Good start to the season and scored some important goals. Djuricic-6 Attackers- Pelle-9 Incredible hold up play and some amazing and important goals. Really like watching him. Frustrating at times. Mane-8 Great first touch, great control and pace. A real threat. Always feel like he has goals in him if he stays on his feet. Long-8 Tireless player, chases every ball and would much rather have him on the team than against it. Elia-5

Wouldn't be upset if we made an exception for him!

They beat United 3-1 with this squad: Gunn, Maffeo, Humphreys, Evans, Angelino, Glendon ©, Barker, Byrne, Ntcham, Pozo, Iheanacho. Pozo and Iheancacho were the ones being touted mainly for a spot in the first team so can't see them playing 2 days in a row. O'Brien, Horsfield, Garcia, Nemane, Intima were all on the bench. Nemane would probably be the one out of them that would be in the squad? I'm only guessing as he's had a fairly decent season apparently...
