Im just offering some balance and my opinions. Its not about being controversial. All posts that are counteractive to the super positive are met with the pitch fork crew waving red cards. Its killed any discussion or debate on this forum. This is now a "forum" for SFC appreciation only and nothing else is welcome. We lost yesterday, we had 2 weeks to prepare, united had a few days. I have acknowledged the performance was good, but we lost! I have questioned the rotation policy all season. Its cost us
-
He tore united a new one? He outmanouvered Jose? Puel had 2 full weeks to prepare, Jose had a few days - & we lost! No new ones torn, Jose wasnt outmanouvered. Some positives from yesterday sure, but we should have been playing like that all season. Puel has been disappointing thus far, yesterdays defeat doesn't change that for me. The benefits of not rotating were evident yesterday, but why has it taken a euro exit, fa cup exit, poor league season and 7 months to realise that?

Expected, but still gutting

Hes not even top 10 in the EPL.

Ross Wilson appointed as Director of Scouting & Recruitment
Heisenberg replied to Ulrich van Gobbel's topic in The Saints
At a time when the recruitment has been at its poorest and most questionable its kinda odd that both Reed and Wilson are fighting over the ownership and blame. Les "im in charge of EVERYTHING" its all very me, me, me Ross is more fond of the word "we" -
Ill add a few winking emoji for you next time

Looks like the exact same interview from 2 years ago, just replaced Wilson with Reed! I liked this bit.... Like a sketch fron The UK office, could imagine Gareth offering such gems -
Oh G's the fun police have arrived

& does Poch wants VVD......

desperate times call for desperate measures Will be Stephens and Caceres, with Yoshida dropped

Benali stickers were everywhere in Milan. Saw him in the pizza restaurant first night and about 20-25x after. Museums, trams, buses, all along the canal. Funny http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?57278-Route-to-Milan-2016&p=2411490#post2411490

He played for Barcelona 10x almost 10 years ago. I suspect thats enough for most on here
-
Would be risky to start him imho He will be very rusty having not played 90 minutes of competitive football in over a year. Im not a huge fan of Stephens and doubt he will make the cut long-term (Div 1 maybe) but he's the sensible option for the final given the limited options. Hoping Ibra and co have an off day

Was the easiest of easy groups and has killed any excitement should we get there again. Was absolutely gutting watching some of our performances. A league cup final win will go some way to make up for it mind you
-
Liverpool could have scored 6, Sturridge missed some sitters. Man United will take chances like that Sunderland are and have been **** all season He looked poor vs Arsenal, Swansea and WHU
-
14 weeks at a reported 100k a week. Possibly a sign on bonus too? Nice £1.5m for 3 months work. Possibly 5-6 games of football. Saying that with each place in the EPL worth £2m he could be worth it.

Each to there own - agreed. 41% win rate v 54% 0 trophies vs 8 trophies
-
Koeman has won more as player and manager. Koeman would probably get the nod ahead of Mopo (for Barcelona) based on his history with the club too For me Mopo is definitely on the high potential list, however until he starts to win trophies id be surprised if Barca took a gamble.
-
He will, he is and they are.

Newcastle will finish top 7 in the EPL before we do (imho) And they are not even in t he EPL MLG then said that would never happen as there squad is "significantly" weaker than ours. It is weaker, id agree (not significantly though). Everto have a weaker squad than us - but when you have a decent manager....... Anyway back to VVD.
-
Id happily take - Matz Sels Aleksandar Mitrovic Jonjo Shelvey Chancel Mbemba Matt Ritchie Ayoze Pérez Dwight Gayle Mohamed Diamé In exchange for any of the below from our squad - Taylor Gardos Pied Stephens Targett Martina Clasie Höjbjerg Reed Isgrove Rodríguez Long And definitly swap Puel for Benitez
-
He's had 19 years
-
Koeman is a legend there and has done very well in England Mopo took over a spurs side that has been finishing top 5 for the past 12-13 years and has err finished top 5. Still not won a single trophy and did awful with espanyol.

MLG takes the stock response that every player here is great "The best" His FM ratings are probably 10 for all saints players He then does the typical SWF approach of finding one daft / joke post from someone and then casting the "thats the forum opinion" case closed. This forum is mixed and some will have better judging skills than others. MLG is right down that list as "everyone is brilliant" doesnt really cut it. My personal experiences have been sound and so have a few others i trust on here. I call things a bit earlier than most, but definitly get it right way more often than not. Some great posters on here, some with a real good eye for player potential

Youre deluded mate. A number of Newcastle players would improve our squad and I'd happily swap 6-7 players with Newcastle. Its not just players, its manager too. They have a much better manager than us. Ambition like us has been lacking but i can see that improving (for them) next season. Genuinely feel they will finish top 7 before we do.
