Saints 1 Norwich 0 - For Once We Score A Late Winner!
Saint Billy replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
I'm not sure which is more dull atm, watching Saints or watching England. -
So we are looking at a striker who's inconsistent, welcome to saints he'll fit in well.
-
Exactly, in a nutshell.
-
If thats what you want just go on the official website then, plenty of facts and truths there for you to take as gospel.

I have been supporting saints for near on 55 years, and to told that "If I don't like it go and support someone else" is a real button pusher for me. Tbh, in 55 years there has not been that many ups to celebrate apart from the obvious as far as saints is concerned, and that lends itself to a rather negative style of approach when posting on here. I think this can apply to several old duffers on here like me, and we tend to clash with the new kids on the block who are on one hand very trusting of everything saints and on the other very scathing of those who dare to question.

After our performance against Liverpool I do feel a bit more upbeat but getting a striker has to be paramount.

At least the kit will stay red, maybe a few yellow stars here and there instead of stripes, but predominantly red.

If Long was the player he was last season I would pick Long, if Jay Rod was the player he was a couple of years ago I would choose Jay Rod. Tbh both are not what they were but out of the two Jay Rod holds more threat atm. Still think we need another striker though.

Played a lot better tonight. Shame Redmond did'nt take more chances as I don't think a one goal cushion is enough.

Ref has had a shocker tbf.
-
So unlucky
-
Here comes trouble.
-
Very flat first 20 minutes but after that we looked a different side. Keep this going and were in with a chance.
-
Thats better, come on saints make it count.
-
I'm almost hoping they will score to make us play a bit.

God how depressing to see him end up that way. -
Oh at least its gone from one game to a season. You are slowly turning.
-
Nice one!!

Its just another cluster f*ck that we seem to regularly go through with players/managers and board. I thought the new owners and board were meant to bring a new era of stability.

He had some game time in Azerbaijan.
-
I often heard his name mentioned, he had a bit of a reputation.

You only have to look at the players to realise there is a problem. Forster is a big give away, he looks like he is suffering from a slipped disc when he gets the ball from the back of his net.

Nothing new here, every club below the top 6 is a stepping stone club. Unfortunately this club trys to have us believe that thats not the case, with this plan and that plan and the infamous 5 year plan. What they can't seem to do is get a manager to buy into their plan because a decent manager wants success which he aint gonna get if his best players keep getting sold. Simples.

This was on the cards before we even kicked a ball this season. Relatively unkown manager with a history of playing drab football, failure to replace quality players, the Guan snippet of a change of diection this season. Sherlock Holmes would have treated this as a mere warm up to work out. Now we have lost through injury the only one who remotely looks like scoring I'm afraid it's looking like a very dull yet nervous second half of the season especially if Puel is to be believed that we do not need new players. With us not knowing whether the club is up for sale or not and with nothing coming out of the mouths of the unusually quiet hierarchy I feel that saints could once again go back to this habit of self harming after an amazing six or so years.

You are making yourself look more stupid than you normally are.
