I cant help but like Harry despite what happened when he was with us which I feel was down to him not getting on Lowe more than anything else. I feel he would bring the 1996 vibe back to English footy and it will be great to have a manager with some passion on the touchline rather than the lacklustre pair we have had recently.

As badly as saints are playing at the moment I still have every faith in NA and long may he manage us.

Anyone who thinks "Lets concentrate on the league, glad were out etc etc" you are making excuses my friends for a side that is obviously in decline for whatever reason. I did not go tonight but I have seen enough to realise that we are now not the team we were a couple of months ago. Yes we have had injuries/suspensions but we surely have a squad strong enough to cope with this....................obviously not!. I could easily dismiss the cup defeats if our league form was still up there but at this moment it is not. Hopefully NA can get this sorted but IMO I am p*ssed that we have not got further in the cup with the chance of a lucrative draw against a prem side because if you go by present form that may have been our last chance of getting anything out of this season.

I also noticed that on a couple of occasions when we were pressing we turned attack into defence and retreated the ball back to Davies, it is almost like we have lost our attacking confidence and are scared of being caught on the break.

Well we got a point but can't honestly say I am happy with it. Dissapointed at the lack of goal attempts from us. I know the conditions were bad but MS had a mare. The ref!! what an anus!

I'm lost for words and just grateful for all the support you have all given me. I hope I can do a job for you all and get the saints back to where they belong. This is a great club and I am just looking forward to meeting the rest of the boys and will be available if the gaffer picks me. I have always had a deep appreciation for SFC proven by the fact that I have been a member of this forum and ones before for a few years now. Bad day at the office my arse, our form started to slide weeks ago. Injuries and suspension have not helped but it does prove that we are seriously lacking in quality once our reliables are not available. A struggling bottom side would have beat us last night. After a great start it was always going to depend on how we coped with the inevitable dip in form and injuries etc and it dont look good folks. As far as transfers are concerned I feel that we have wasted time going for unachievable targets and unless something is done in the remaining days of the window the slide will continue.

That was a really lame performance putting it mildly. FFS put your hands in your pockets and buy some decent cover guys.

Unfortunately, Saints being Saints will always lose their best players at the end of the day, and their best managers. At the start of the season I did post that if Adkins continues his success with us up into the prem we will have to face the possibilty of losing him, and got utterly lambasted for it.

I don't believe any of it. Reality will be more like the top scorer in the Mongolian Yak league, 19 goals so far this season, apparently a bit of a nomad and prone to injury especially shortness of breath.

Yep, I have had the same feeling for a while. Cortese is not a spender and would rather pick up a bargain basement player and hope he turns good. I really hope I have to eat my words but I feel yet again the transfer window for us is going to end up as a big anti climax. Yes the transfer market has gone crazy with mediocre players going for silly money, ok avoid fair enough, but don't get involved in making stupid offers with no chance in hell of getting the deal, that is pure idiotic. This attitude will have to change if we get promoted and want to put together a side that will not be disgraced.
