I thought Bednarek was an unsung hero in the match last night, and others for that matter. He made a last gasp tackle which was a game saver. Gets on with his job quietly and effectively.

Ralph's reaction last night confirmed he is going no where. Too many great individual performances and moments to mention but special praise to KWP and Diallo, awesome both of them.

What I don't get is this, our defence square balls to one another sideways on numerous occasions, yes I get the not wanting to lose possession, so why does it invariably end up back with the keeper who boots it upfield and yes we lose possession. For me this is where Vest is being really missed as he discovered the art of the killer pass which none of our current defenders possess.

Even if you put on Forster instead of Long it would be an improvement.

God this is a re run of the Fulham game.

I think Theo gives the appearance of someone trying too hard. He is covering a lot of ground and full of running but when the ball is at his feet he seems to either give the ball away or is brushed off the ball too easily. I think he just needs to slow his game down and rely more on his experience now rather than his speed.

Hideous game, poor refereeing but at least a draw. Any decent side would have turned us over though. Hard to believe that after months of not wanting Vest anywhere near the first team we are now reliant on him being in it, that also applies to Rom and Ings. The next few games will be tough without a full squad and bringing in Long to bridge the gap is a big mistake, I only hope Ralph realises it sooner than later.

Very sloppy so far, saints aren't good either.

Pretty good performance despite the loss. Vest again was exceptional, wow those two pinpoint long range passes were something else. Shame about Ings but not surprised as he has been off his game since returning so it is obvious he has not truly recovered. We really need to spend in the window to strengthen the bench at least, Redmond coming on does not fill me with optimism that he is going to change the game.

All this fucking about with ball at the back when we are chasing the game is frustrating to say the least.
