As you well know, it was mentioned by the media at the time of Puels appointment that he was happy to let Reed handle the transfers and also happy to fall in with saints youth policy and this is why Pellegrini did not get the job.

Lets face it, it was always going to be a dull season because Puel was the only guy who agreed to be a yes man to Reed and that was why he was employed. Reed obviously does not want a manager who calls the shots and this is why we ended up with mediocre Puel.

I think most if not all modern stadiums lack atmosphere, thank god we are not West Ham. Wembley was a great atmosphere but that is a one off special occasion. Being back the Dell I say or try and capture some of what it had by making St Mary's more imposing.
