  1. Why on earth would they bother naming him in the 25 man squad then?
  2. I doubt he wants to be a part time manager at this time in his career, plus holland won't be on a big stage till 2018 at the earliest so that's not exactly going to get a high profile manager excited at his age. He'll probably think this isn't a good time to take the Holland job also.
  3. Klopp nearly always plays 4-2-3-1 with 'inverted wingers' or 'inside forwards' IIRR So he could go with all 3 Lallana Coutinho Firmino Sturridge or Benteke up top Henderson with Can/Allen/Lucas holding He's got a job on his hands sorting out the defence though which had always been Rodgers's problem even when they came 2nd.
  4. The African Messi....Hopefully when he goes he'll go to Barcelona
  5. I noticed he defended very well last week in 2nd half against Montero as well. Improved massively defensively, good job!
  6. Last night. First time Jose has ever conceded 3 at home for Chelsea and it could of easily been 4 or 5
  7. On the radio Adam Blackmore and Dave Merrington mentioned Juanmi hadn't really shown enough to deserve a start even though we were so dominant in the game
  8. Wouldn't be surprised if Swansea finish above Spurs this season.
  9. People have been mentioning the atmosphere/being out sung again has been poor recently and was much better in the lower leagues. This could suggest a correlation in ticket price and atmosphere/noise level from the fans. My conclusion, tickets in the ends that make the noise, Northam, Itchen north wing and Kingsland north wing should be priced from £25-£30-35 for C+B+A games. Seeing as we're the ones that are helping the team. The other seats can stay the same And obviously cheaper season tickets for seats in those areas as well.
  10. Hopefully we won't sell out and they'll realise the ticket prices are too high. I'm not a member and pretty sure I can buy a ticket but it's on tv and I'm simply can't justifying going for that much at the moment.
  11. We probably would of invested in a player more worthwile than Osvaldo...
  12. 16:32 Barnsleys kitman said its the best football he's seen played there, think he'd been there for 90 odd years or whatever
  13. By went sick you mean got injured?
  14. You shouldn't of said that, he'll win the Ballon d'or in 2018 after inspiring Uruguay to win the World cup now. Then you'll feel really silly
  15. Don't understand why you bothered posting last season when he wasn't even at the club. If you look at his goal and assist stats from starts they're pretty good. He's been injured a lot since got here and Poch would never start him, I doubt he started him more than twice. So really he hasn't even had a run of 10 + starts and hasn't been deemed good enough by our last two managers. I just think he's got that killer pass we are lacking at times.
  16. Worth the risk IMO. The rest of the team can retain the ball sensibly, well maybe Pelle doesn't sometimes but those two should really be on the pitch to score or create a goal rather than to 'retain the ball sensibly'
  17. Ramirez is exactly the sort of player we needed on the bench Saturday, when you want to get a goal, Ramirez for Ward-Prowse or Davis is going to increase your chances.
  18. Lower league ticket sales actually fund a far higher % of the clubs revenue than premier league clubs so that's probably why. Premier league games are always in higher demand, hence the even higher price. The premier league should do something, like putting a cap on away prices to say £30 and maybe even an Adult Lowest ticket price cap of £30 in the home games as well, paying more than £35 to watch a game of football.....Too much considering how little a % of the income they get from it each year.
  19. Wrong? Or just a different opinion to yours? They may have also made strides under Adkins or another manager? MP was lucky when he came into the job, he had the perfect type of players for his philosophy already there, who were also good footballers as well. Maybe Rickie, Gaston and Guly didn't fit his high press but all the others did and Rickie was so good at scoring and creating goals he just had to be in the team leading the line.
  20. Don't think he enjoyed his time here TBH. Howe or Another high profile Dutchy for me.
  21. All those players were already in the team with Adkins bar Chambers...Who wasn't as good as Clyne, another modern day charlatan?
  22. My feelings are that it is a great achievement but he's never been great for England since 2004. Shearer was a better player for England but just didn't play as many games or didn't play as many easy opponents same with Lineker
  23. 2 major tournament goals in the last tens years.......... And loads of penaltys Might have been more celebrated if he was a better role model.
  24. http://www.thefightingcock.co.uk/forum/threads/scbc-fans-obsession-with-the-mighty-spurs.15497/ Was very bored last night so had a little look at there forum. My thread has made it on the spurs forum hahahahaha. Nearly all of them don't understand why we don't like them? and the title! we are apparently obsessed yet they obviously go on this site and then even make a thread about a thread on this site. Hilarious
  25. 2 posts I found interesting on the spurs forum with their views on their current owners 1.My feeling is that ENIC have used Spurs to grab land around the Stadium for lower than market value, with an eye on future returns. The football part of the deal has always been secondary to the property. ENIC do just enough to make it look like our Team was the priority....just enough...sort off, but coming up short happens too often for it to be a fluke of nature. This summer for me feels like it's alls changed, As soon as the Stadium plans were passed & the regeneration really began & the football side of things could be milked the pretence could be ( and has been ) dropped. I can hear our boardroom saying "let them eat cake" ...the them is us sadly......... No one on our board of management could honestly give a **** as they let this transfer window ******** happen with such stunning ineptitude. I understand that they are all richer than 99% of us ever will be so why should they care what the plebs think.....but actually they should. The disconnect between them & US is huge, after today it's wider than it's ever been. How sad I assume the thinking at board level will be finishing 5th or 15th does not really matter, it's 78 million or 88 million ( can't be arsed to check the total prize money ) so best keep our money locked up & just pretend there was a try to buy someone. The worst thing about all this is that we fans all care so much. We believe in Echos of Glory. Sadly, we celebrate coming up short too much now. It can no longer be a chance occurrence to be Spursy, it's from the Top down. I realised something tonight.........Scholar bought Gazza ( Statement of Intent ) Sugar bought Klinsman ( Statement of Intent ) Levy just digs around in the bargain bins & offers less than market value ( statement of tightness and greedy behavior ) dragging us down in everyone's estimations. He's not a visionary or a misguided chairman. He's just inept. A point not many make in regard to Levy's genius is that he never fails to get a SALE over the line does he ? ( Ade aside perhaps but that is God's business it appears ) tell you something about his focus & ability. Even a spaz could buy a player @ 26 million and try to Loan them out 2 seasons later ! So stupid. We are THFC one of the top 15 clubs in the whole of Europe & yet we have 1 Striker and our 5th choice Centre Back @ DM....it's criminal how this is allowed to happen. This Cheap behavior is not "aiming so high that even failure will have an Echo of Glory" How this feels tonight should not be just how it is at little old Spurs LEVY **** YOU & **** OFF ENIC your time is up. 2. Totally agree mate. Without sounding like some 'I told you so ****' I have said this since we sold Carrick. In one of my few itk's moments I was made aware of how Kelmsley treat the negotiations with Carrick and his dad. Eunuch couldn't believe they were getting 18.5m for him. They had no understanding of football. There was never a doubt he would be sold despite Carrick wanting to renegotiate his contract. Then there was the Jol debacle. Only Redknapp, someone I wasn't a fan of, has ever managed to keep these fools away from the football team. He didn't suit their agenda. Shame he was only in it for himself too. The property stuff has only really come to light recently. They saw the millions scum get from the flats they built. That is worth far, far more than winning the league and champions league twice on the spin. Especially in London. Eunuch would have sold to Cain but the deal they offered was only for the club and stadium. Not the surrounding land. Cain thought they were buying everything. Hence why they walked. They bought the club for 30m. Levy has earnt more than that in 10 years. We have been raped. Our club is worth between 500 to 800m now yet net spend in 8 years is standing at about 750k. Still simpletons defend these ****s.
