Relegation - What two teams do we take with us

Bazuna's dad? -
Hologram is exactly the word I was looking for. At times, it looks like the ball goes right through his body (like some weird glitch you see on FIFA 23).

Currently 538 predicts Saints, Bournemouth, and Everton. oddly, we were at a 77% chance of going down two weeks ago, now at at 72%. Progress! https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/ Wolves, Forest, and Leeds definitely need to look over their shoulders. West Ham probably push on. -
https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php this site says muscular injury and ruled out. No idea if it is accurate of not.

Always felt Ralph didn't set him up to succeed or excel. Nice to know he has rebounded, is playing well, and has found a home in France.

well, taking 3 points was pretty damn important today with everyone around us winning. The table would have looked very dire without getting points today. What the heck, i'll drink the kool-aid... Statistically possible to be 17th at the end of the day next Sat.

hahaha.. with the greatest respect to us, eh?

interestingly, Prowse has played under 10 managers during his 11 seasons in the top flight. Adkins Poch Koeman Puel Pellegrino Hughes K. Davis Hasenhuttl Selles Jones https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Southampton_F.C._managers

i suspect we are having trouble finding a manager that respects our players.

This club seems incapable of letting any optimism or positivity to take root. It's a masterclass on how to beat down support.

makes me want to invade Poland.

i think Nuno and Marsch are realistic and acceptable options/choices. I think i would favor Nuno more as we desperately need defenseive organization and a disciplined approach. Marsch is a bit more freewheeling, but he was a steady hand last year for Leeds and wasn't thinskinned in front of the media. Both have PL experience and are known commodities. Will never be world class managers, but those are not beating down our door. We know what we will get with them. it ain't going be Poch or some bloke who just turned down Ajax. And... It's a gamble bringing in an unknown up and comer.. like players, a total crapshoot.

I wish the league didn’t reward that kind of foul fishing. On another note: I suppose I need to root for a liverpool win tomorrow.

We buy 60m worth of players this winter because this lot managed 15 points in the first half of the season and we start 750k of it today. brilliant.

interesting article.. https://sportwitness.co.uk/please-let-go-club-chief-reveals-southampton-signing-begged-transfer-felt-dream-slipping-away/ Looks like we may have a very motivated player who wants to prove himself in the PL. He is not going to want to move down to the Championship. trying to retain optimism

Remember this from late last August? I didn't. Turns out that didnt happen (obviously). He ultimately went on loan to Nottingham Forest instead! (apparently). Apparently, i say because he didn't play a single minute for Forest and got shipped back to Rennes this winter. Rennes then shipped him out on loan to Sevilla this January. Sounds like we dodged a bullet.

Onu-achu! Onu-achu! God, Bless you Ohu-achu!

come on, man.. the shot was on target!

what is Charly's role exactly? i think that is the problem/issue. Is he partnering with Lavia in a defensive role? Is he an #8? Is he more of a Attacking Mid? a quasi #10? He has talent, that is obvious. NJ needs to put him in the right position with the proper formation, with a clearly defined role, if he is to succeed.

tough task to ask a previous Championship player to come in a week later and excel in a semifinal cup match away against a solid Newcastle team currently in 3rd place in the top tier. So yeah, the jury should still be out. Wasn't able to watch the game last night, does Bree have a good right cross? - we just bought a 6'-7" striker. Onuachu's highlight reel was about 50% headers, 25% penalties, and 25% awkward finishes on his foot. Onuachu! | Gesundheit! ** unrelated to the response: Oh, I can't help but think our season would feel completely different if we had been in for Pope and not Bazunu. Hindsight, 20/20, etc.

Is Danny Ings still our record signing at £20 million? 4 1/2 years ago.

well, that's no fun!
