  1. He answered more questions than Johnson who, as ever, was all bluster, deflection and sound bites. Politicians all tell you what they want to tell you, not what you want them to tell you. Perhaps this time people will vote based on policies rather than personalities but I doubt it. It seems as if we are turning into a mini America with our very own mini me PM.
  2. This has soap opera written all over it. Can’t wait to see how it plays out.
  3. Did he really John? Apart from shoe horning in the usual “Get Brexit Done” and “Dither and delay” he said absolutely nothing of substance and we all know when he says the NHS is not for sale is another of a long line of lies. He really is an appalling PM. Worse even than Theresa May.
  4. Given that he won’t have a fortune to spend on players I wonder if José would be interested. Not sure how pragmatic football would go down with Spurs fans either.
  5. He did answer the question. He is leaving it to the public to decide between a new deal and remaining. Why would he campaign for one or the other if he is going with what the public want?
  6. The host wasn’t great but then if they don’t answer the question or talk too long she had to do something. Agree about the audience. It adds atmosphere to the proceedings but they do distract from the responses.
  7. Why would anyone who has seen the interviews of people flooded out of their homes think it appropriate to boo at that point?
  8. Hilarious Duckie. Your man didn’t cover himself in glory did he?
  9. Members of the audience jeering when Corbyn mentions the poor. WTF?
  10. A year ago he stated categorically that there would be no border down the Irish Sea. How can you trust his “word” on the NHS?
  11. Johnson didn’t answer his question about the importance of truth. What a surprise.
  12. Ralph looks as broken and miserable as Poch at the moment.
  13. Just read that Johnson has called the plan to give everyone free broadband a Communist plot. I am sure that he is aware that the only way you can claim Universal Credit is online. Hmmmm
  14. I don’t disagree but thought it worth a mention.
  15. That would usually be by choice would it not? The Speaker doesn’t have a choice.
  16. Given that 650 MPs are returned there will always be plenty of experienced people to choose from. Also why do the Speakers have to be MPs? Why not have experienced civil servants doing the job? That way every MP is properly elected and every MP gets to vote on issues in the House. Given the way you carry on about “democracy” I would have thought you would be in total agreement.
  17. They still get to vote for a candidate of their choice.
  18. Because their constituency don’t get a meaningful vote.
  19. It’s a nonsense that the Speaker gets a free ride. They should chose a Speaker from those who are elected after the GE.
  20. There is a big student community in that area. Fingers crossed!
  21. Put a nickname on it and it isn’t going to make an economic downturn less of an issue.
  22. All well and good for your lot to talk about the economic impact of electing a Labour government. It’s a shame that you are not so concerned about the economic effect of Brexit.
  23. I’m thinking that the Brexit factor could encourage more people to venture out.
  24. Makes sense in this day and age.
