Watching the SE news earlier and there was a report on the council in Maidstone stopping the use of monitoring the CCTV cameras in real time due to the expense. Not great. As a side note, they showed some old footage of some guys in white overalls and masks trying to smash in the window of a jeweller with sledgehammers. I was on my lunch break at the time and me and another guy chased them down the road. I had no idea what I thought I was going to do if I caught up with them but thankfully they jumped into a van a drive off before we found out. The police did catch them though. They stopped at a red light and were blocked in before the lights changed!

Sad news. I remember him scoring a screamer for Stoke in our 4-3 win against them at The Dell not long after he left us. Quality player.

The community officers were supposed to give local support to communities, but your party have cut numbers so much that that doesn’t happen as it should. So true. I worked closely with a number of police officers for 8 years and moral dropped year by year as the spendings cuts bit.

An ex monk has just been jailed for sexually assaulting 3 boys under the age of 13. After the first occasion he admitted his offence to his elders. Instead of reporting him to the police they just sent him to another parish and he consequently reoffended. Anyone outraged?

Kent Police have to cut their budget by £9m in the next financial year which isn’t helpful. When I was on the Parish Council I got to know the local officers. They were very helpful but due to cuts in numbers had to cover large areas so we didn’t see much of them. If deployed correctly they can play a useful part in local policing but as with the full police officers, there aren’t enough of them out and about. Even if the recruitment figures are to be believed, the numbers will be well below what they should be.

Just looked at the proposed journey times. There doesn’t seem to be a huge saving in time given the cost. It cuts nearly an hour off of the journeys to Scotland but flying will still be quicker and cheaper. As for Brum and Manchester, again will the quicker times be worth the expense and the cost of the ticket?

But no investigation into why 85% of the sexual offenders who happen to be white do it? How much do you know about the girls who were groomed by the gangs here? It would appear that in one case they were constantly hanging around a fast food shop. Maybe familiarity and availability had more to do with it other than they were “poor white girls” of “lesser value.” You might be too young to remember the first floods of British tourists to Spain but the Spanish guys loved it. Shed loads of drunk British girls ripe for picking. Predators go for the easiest pray.

By far the biggest sexual offenders in this country are white. Some individuals might quote lines from their holy scriptures, some might sing Beatles songs. Focussing on a small element only goes to prove that there is an agenda. Rape and sexual assaults are predominately carried out by males, and mostly white males in the UK. Those with an agenda will dig down into individual cases all they want to try and show that it is a particular problem of one religion, but that is deliberately missing the point. Women have been sexually assaulted by men of all races and creeds since time began. It is not just a problem with Muslims.

I haven’t read in any religious books that it says that rape and sexual assault is ok. Let’s not confuse misogyny for religious doctrine. Rape is rape. It doesn’t suddenly become a worse crime because someone sticks a religious label on it, unless it is someone with an agenda. The Christian clergy would still be kiddy fiddlers even if they weren’t members of the clergy. The Asian members of rape gangs aren’t grooming and raping girls because they are Muslims. They are doing it because they are sexual predators. It seems odd that the overwhelming majority of Muslims do not commit rape if their religion is telling them that is what they must do. Islam doesn’t have the monopoly on sexual predators, nor does it have the monopoly on misogyny. Those pretending that somehow it is worse clearly have an anti Muslim agenda.
