  1. And thereby lies the problem. Liverpool put 6 of their 7 chances in the back of the net the other day.
  2. Agree, best form of defence is attack.
  3. Goal attempts Palace 4 Southampton 8

  5. Not his biggest fan but fair play today. Ron seems to have set up the team so he will get a lot of practice!!!
  6. For those who thinks that Ron always plays his favourites, think again! Very worried about this team and set up but hope to be proved wrong!
  7. Not quite the same though is it? There aren't a bunch of Saints fans kicking off in the Middle East. Saints fans don't have an extremist section who interpret a part of the Saints history in a way that justifies them killing others etc etc. There are a very small number of Saints fans. It isn't the second most followed club in the world with 1.6b fans. Muslims do come out and distance themselves from the atrocities. There was a peace march last weekend. But Katie Hopkins wants more to do it. How many exactly will make her happy and will she come out and apologise for Christians everywhere the next time a Christian kills someone? Really, every time a terrorist commits an atrocity do you expect your neighbour or the bloke in the curry house, of the bloke in the bank or your manager to come out and say sorry in the name of their religion? And if your answer is yes, how many times do you expect them to do it before you will be satisfied?

  9. I'd like to see Ron stay but if the club let him go it doesn't mean they have lost their ambition. In a year or two they might think it is time for a change. A number of posters kicked off over the weekend about Ron's management style and if results don't improve that discontent will only grow.
  10. But they did. They brought in two players on loan.
  11. Katie Hopkins is famous for bailing out of The Apprentice and having her picture taken having sex in a field in broad daylight with someone else's husband. She used to write a column in The Sun and now it appears that she writes for the Daily Mail. So she really isn't very famous or important at all. Yet she sits there and tells Andrew Neill that when there are terrorists acts moderate Muslims do not to enough to distance themselves from the acts for her. Who the f*** does she think she is and why is she the yardstick? Also why do people who have had absolutely nothing to do with an event have to make an apology for it? I should imagine that 99.99% of the muslims in this country had no more to do with the terrorists attacks in Paris than she did so why on earth should she expect them to come out and distance themselves from an outrage every time one occurs. There was also a peace march in London arrange my Muslims last weekend but that still wasn't enough for her.
  12. Ah but that was different because, erm, it wasn't geographical???
  13. I wouldn't go within 500 yards of her so she is probably right about no go areas! Interesting to say that she would worry about being spat at and attacked in certain areas. I would think that there are many people who would like to spit at her, not only muslims, right across the country.
  14. "There are 480 muslims in the army out of an overall strength of 88,500 - 0.54% an increase from 300 in 2008. Muslims comprise about 4.4% of the UK population according to the 2011 census." The article goes on to say that the British army are exploring ways of recruiting more muslims. It is also concerned that black, Asian and other ethnic minorities are not sufficiently represented and a recruitment drive is planned. The Times are saying that 560 muslims currently serve in the British army. The Independent says that nobody really knows how many British Muslims have gone to fight for IS. The MOD are saying around 500. MP Khalid Mahmood is "guessing" there are 1500 British Muslims fighting in Iraq and Syria.
  15. I know that they say all publicity is good publicity but if I ran a firm of sols I wouldn't go within a hundred miles of this case.

  17. You are probably right. When everything clicks we are a match for anyone in this league but the problem is that we are more fragile this season and it doesn't take much to knock us out of our stride. We are a decent mid table side at present. A couple of decent players in January could change that but who do you bring in?

  19. I am not taking the p*ss Alps but the guy jumped ship a long time ago and we had our best season without him last year. I agree things have stalled recently. I still think we have yet to see the best of this squad so am not unduly pessimistic despite the poor recent results. Like others I would like to see a couple in in January but am not holding my breath.

  23. Sadly for some time we have been going down the American route whereby nobody is responsible for their actions anymore. It is always someone else fault and there are always people encouraging you to sue. My wife had an accident several years ago and she still gets regular emails trying to tempt her to sue despite the fact that she was not injured in the slightest. Moving past his crime, I guess that you should be able to expect to serve a prison sentence without having your teeth knocked out. Am I right in thinking that there has been an enquiry and it has been found that there is no case to answer? This is the problem we have when living in a civilised society. Despite his crime he is still entitled to his "human rights." On the other hand someone should probably whisper in his ear that he is lucky that he has only lost two teeth!
  24. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth...... He is entitled to claim. The system is entitled to throw his claim out.
  25. Ok Guan pull up a chair... I have a viewpoint on some current affairs, not all. I don't work at the moment so I am not bored with my job. There was talk about Harriet Harman and Muslim women and then a number of towns were mentioned. I asked for clarification because I didn't get the link. If you chose not to believe me that is your prerogative. Yes, perhaps I was looking the other way that week. No I didn't Google the place names, do you know what you get if you Google Oxford? I just got the weather. By the way it is "since" and not "scince" but given my spelling is carp too we shall let that slide. I know that Hillsborough is the home of Sheffield Wednesday. I know that people died there watching a football match. I am sorry but I don't know what it has to do with Harriet Harman? Yes somehow I neglected to google http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Rotherham%2C+Rochdale%2C+Oxford+ silly me eh? Being a chat forum I just though someone would give me the heads up if I asked. You don't like "fella" and prefer "pal." Sorry. Perhaps Fitzhugh Fella needs to change his name to Fitzhugh Pal? I wont use either again if it helps? I find you attempt to justify posting those pictures strange. Sorry, I didn't realise that all of those famous photos had first been posted on an internet football forum. If posting the Bataclan pictures shortly after the event was so necessary why were they not posted via mainstream media? It has nothing at all to do with censorship. It has to do with common decency. How do you think that loved ones and relatives of the deceased would feel if they knew these picture had been posted on a football forum? Do you think they would be okay with that? I cant say for sure, but my gut feeling tells me no. Tell me what these untrue allegations were again? I do remember explaining to you at the time but I really cant be bothered to go ploughing back through this stuff so a little heads up would be nice and then hopefully we can put this to bed (we don't want you becoming obsessed like Hypo do we?). The bit about flowery language has completely lost me I'm afraid. Yes you are right, I just don't understand. Yes there are lots of large families, and not all of then are Muslim families. That was my point. Ok for now?
