So long as you haven't been exterminated

Fancied us today but didn't expect Charlie to pop and do the business at the end. It has been an awesome response by the club and team following the FA Cup exit. Happy days!

I grew up with wingers and proper old centre forwards and do miss those days. But if crosses produce fewer goals than playing the ball in from zone 14 then you cant blame coaches for changing their tactics. Not as good to watch though. I think possession is vastly overrated and we are seeing more teams playing on the counter nowadays so for me that is a good thing.

They did indeed.

Not sure why Tadic is the heading if they are investigating a number of transfers?

Trump becoming President would be really funny for about 5 minutes. Then when reality sets in it would become a really scary proposition.

I think we have banned people for their political views though, albeit extreme views. I wonder how we would feel if it were Mohamed Trump, an aspiring leader of a radical Middle East country who was talking about banning Christians from entering the country? Would we still feel happy about him coming here?

They would have a stronger argument if they could come forward with names of black actors who they think should have been nominated and why. Perhaps they have done and I have missed it? They could always hold there own version of the Oscars if they are that bothered. I do think that the Oscars should be decided on a vote by the cinema going public though. Some of the films and performances that have been ignored over the years has been a joke.

What do we do with our young talents ? - Sell them, of course.

The problem is how long to keep hold of a young player if he isn't showing signs of development. As we know, some develop quicker than others and some don't really develop at all. I remember Mick Channon saying that Peter Osgood was the best player he saw when a youngster but as his body developed he lost it a bit. Either you have to be a really good judge of players and their development or really lucky to get it right every time. -
I like the thought of banning him just because it would be awesome for the little old UK to ban a possible future President of the US of A. I really don't have a problem with him coming here and showing himself up for the racist bigot he is though.

It has been used to keep several extreme radical Muslims out so I don't have a problem with it also keeping a barking mad white supremist out too. Not that he will be banned of course.

It's OK ...as long as your face fits.....

Everyone used to play 2 3 5 in the 60s. The front 5 had to play in a w formation with the two inside forwards playing deeper than the centre forward. The two wingers were glued to the touchline and were not expected to drop into their own half. The two full backs were glued to the wingers and the centre half was glued to the centre forward. Out PE teacher used to blow the whistle every few minutes and look at where you were. If you weren't standing in the right place or marking the right person you got a rollicking. When Ramsey brought in 433 part way through the 66 WC it was the beginning of the end for "wingers." Terry Paine played against Mexico and that was it. End of his International career as the full backs were now overlapping and doing the wingers job as well as their own. Not sure who brought the sweeper system into this country but do remember Beckenbauer being one of the first if not the first sweepers and that would have been late 60s early 70s. -
Didn't we pay off Osvaldos contract?

This from the CAB, just for you Hypo:- When is a hate incident also a hate crime? Any criminal offence can be a hate crime if it was carried out because of hostility or prejudice based on disability, race, religion, transgender identity or sexual orientation. Examples of hate crimes: assaults, criminal damage, harassment, murder, sexual assault, theft, fraud, burglary, hate mail, causing harassment, alarm or distress.

Once again I am not accusing him of hate crime. I said you could argue, not that I was. Yes I do have an idea of what that argument would look like as I am sure you would do if you googled as I suggested. It appears he feels the same about Latinos as he does Muslims. If you want more information I suggest you seek out the half a million people who signed the petition seeking to ban him from the UK.

Or take him out with a drone....ffs

First off I haven't accused Trump of committing a hate crime but if you google Trump and hate crime there is plenty to get your teeth into. Also I would say that threatening to refuse entry to the US of A to the second biggest religious group on the plant displays an element of discrimination that is quite high on the scale, wouldn't you?

Half a million bogus signatures?
