Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

I am sure GCHQ are carrying out sophisticated monitoring and I am sure that there are more sophisticated terrorists out there than the moronic couple from Reading. That has been my point all along. -

Flying in the face of popular opinion? So I am wrong in thinking that we are not at risk from the majority of Muslims in this country? What other information do I not understand that the rest of the world does? -
Its not the value I am worried about though it is just the concept of betting on your own team to get relegated!

Which is probably a fair reflection given that we did slip down the table after a bright start.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

I expect that the intelligence services monitor whichever area of activities they are concerned about at that time. If the IRA were still a threat it would make sense to monitor their activities. As the current threat is coming from IS then it would makes sense to put most of your resources there. I wouldn't rule out the Ginger threat though. Seriously though Whelk, what type of question is that? Still, as the terrorists all seem to be walking about telling anyone who will listen what they are up too it seems like the security forces have any easy job -

You haven't seen my porn activity! But seriously I am sure that there are coded messages flying about all over the place but please don't expect me to believe that the Paris terrorists went on FB to tell their mates that they were going to launch an attack on Paris with all the details or that they sat in their local bars or cafes talking openly about their plans. Terrorism works precisely because they keep their plans secret. It fails when the security forces know what they are going to do, where and when. -
I think Keith will outlive the cockroaches

I think we all understand that terrorists have plans to attack innocent people all over the place. I am talking about specific plans of these attacks. Places, dates, times. If these are know are you really telling me that the security forces are unable to stop them? -
Nail on head.

Can you show me where the Paris terrorists publicised their detailed plans to attack Paris then? You have served in the Services have you not? Where in basic training does it say provide your enemy with your detailed plans of deployment and attack? Terrorist attacks are successful because they happen covertly. If you hand over the details of your attack to the police or the intelligence agencies what do you think the chances of success will be? If you are struggling for an answer just ask Mohammed Rehman. -

Which is exactly my point. If you broadcast the fact you will get caught. It sounds like these two were not a part of the IS terror campaign but admired what IS were doing and jumped on the band wagon. Did the nutters who attached Paris go on Twitter and ask advice about their attack? Of course not. This bloke doesn't sound terribly bright and he certainly has a lot to learn about covert operations! Which is just as well as he could have done some real damage. -

I see that "Silent Bomber" Mohammed Rehman and his wife have been found guilty of plotting a terror attack in London. Following on from previous posts it probably wasnt the wisest thing to go on Twitter as "Silent Bomber" and ask advice on whether to go for Westfield or the Underground! Good to see his parents come out and thank the police for preventing the attack and arresting their son. Probably still wont be enough to satisfy Katie Hopkins though. -
I think this is the problem. This current squad do lose their confidence (as a team) very quickly and find it hard to rally.
-
There were several games last season where we performed poorly in one half and well in the other. It wasn't restricted to playing well in just the first half either.
-
Alan Shearer said that we would be okay, so that's good enough for me!

The lad clearly has potential. The club think so. England think so. Maybe he needs more and intense coaching? Maybe he just needs more time? Maybe I am an eternal optimist but I still think he will turn out to be a quality player for us.

I have just driven past a small new development called Finberry just off the A2070. It was recently built on arable land and is surrounded by fields but for most of the year many of those fields are under water. I expect that they will eventually build on those fields as well but it is a very wet area.
-
The development is to the SE of Ashford between the town and the marsh. The land is higher than the marsh but still very boggy and as you say the water lays in the fields in the winter and has now started to lay in the lanes as well though. I guess the water will make its way down to the Great Military Canal where it is easier to manage.

Agreed. It sounds like they have high hopes for Juanmi for the future but we could really do with a game changer or two from the bench now. Players that are first team standard rather than bench warmer standard.
-
I live on the edge of Romney Marsh. As the name suggests it is a marshy area yet the rate of building new houses is going up and up. There is a plan in to build 750 new houses a couple of miles down the road. They will drain the land but the water has to go somewhere. I feel for the poor people whose houses have been flooded again. We have to spend more on flood defences.

He started out as a roadie for Keith Emerson and The Nice. It was him that gave Emerson a pair of Hitler Youth knives that Emerson used to stab in his keyboards. RIP.

Is it Koemans fault too that we missed so many chances?
