The only problem I have with Europa football is squad size. Will we invest in a bigger better squad or will be play the kids? We should be in it to win it so I wouldn't want to play the kids. Europa has caused problems for clubs of our size in the past and clubs have gone down when being involved in Europe (us, Ipswich). It is a positive but it needs to managed well.

Having just watched France v England I take back what I said about the standard improving! Nice to see the England team trying to emulate the men's team! At least France seemed to have some idea. England were dreadful.

Went down in a lift with Terry Wogan once (ooer missus). Just as he appears on TV and doesn't stop talking!

The standard seems better than when I last watched it a few years ago although the goalkeepers still tend to be rubbish. Not so many munters in our team as there used to be either!

Not read anything about the GoT rape scenes but did see the woman from the Sissors Sisters get uppity about the fact that some scenes have been changed from the book and some rapes put in. She failed to mention that many of the characters in the book are under 16 and have sex and that they have been made older in the TV adaptation which is a good thing. Seems to me that Martin is using the TV adaptation to build on what he created (assuming he is involved) and to make changes to the plot that improve the original. The simple fact is that the dark and middle ages were very brutal times and people did get raped. She didn't seem to mind the fact that people got their eyes popped out or their heads crushed.

Most if not all clubs would be more than happy to have won that 'tinpot trophy' two years running.

After last week's episode with the White Walkers I wondered how they could top that for the last 2 episodes. Last night was even more enthralling probably because you know that anyone could die at any time so you aren't safe in expecting a happy ending. Next week's finale is unmissable and the Old Gods and the New only knows how they can top the last 2 weeks. Best TV ever.

I really don't care for the football club as a brand thing but that is the way it is nowadays. If the club are to compete at this level they need to grow their revenue streams. As we have just been named as the fastest growing football brand the club would be crazy not to cash in. I remember well the days when a former CEO said that he didn't know where the next £ was coming from.

I couldn't care less about CL football. But it seems to be the yardstick of progress.

We won the cup final once. That is what people remember. Clubs have good seasons but at the end of the day the whole point is to actually win trophies isn't it? Only fans of clubs remember the nearlys. History remembers the winners.

As ever the original point is being lost which is for all the talk of CL football we are a million miles away from ever competing at the highest level.
