Good post. I still fail to see what those who call him Wreck It Ralph think that he has wrecked. The club is stable and well run. We are a decent Premiership outfit. All of the people running the club deserve credit for that.

  5. I am old enough to remember when you used to get an acknowledgement if you applied for a job. Now, nothing. An acknowledgement would have been nice but at least he got a refund and I hope he is ok?
  6. I see Brian Kidd is still sitting on the bench as Sammy does. I am sure the club find more for them to do than BBC.

When I was out in Seattle I took my girlfriends kids to the park for an hour (one boy and one girl). I expected them to take an American football with them but they took a "proper" football and we had a great kick around. I spoke to my gf about it and she said they both loved football and played it at school. If they can get the TV sorted out you can see the game really taking off there - but it is taking an age and the likes of Pele and Beckham don't seem to have had much of an effect. I am surprised that Murdoch hasn't pushed it more there.

Thankfully you would never be owner in the first place, now get back to spouting b*ll*x on the What is Wrong With America thread where you belong.
  10. Not surprised. He is obviously highly regarded in the England set up. Good luck to him. Although once he gets a full cap wait for the wailing and gnashing of teeth once the big clubs start sniffing round...

  12. A bit frustrating when we send players out on loan to get games and experience and they end up sitting on the bench - but you cant blame the managers for not playing them if they aren't providing the goods.
  13. So you think he is lying then?
  14. He has said clearly that he will see his contract out.

  16. A boy takes his pet newt to school. "He is nice" says the teacher,"what's his name?"3 "Tiny," says the boy. "Why Tiny?" Asks the teacher "Because he's my newt!"

  21. Clubs don't seemed to be queuing up to buy him though do they? £15m isn't a huge amount of money for a striker but they seem to think him overpriced.
  22. Yes but the world wide stage is for the likes of United, City, Chelsea etc. I doubt if we sell many shirts abroad. So the debt is to the Leibherrs? So she has been putting the businesses money in then?

  24. I really don't think it is a plan to keep replacing players. It just happens because other clubs want them and because their contract are running down to the point where, if they aren't going to sign a new contract we are better off selling rather than letting them go later for nothing. I am sure they would much rather keep the likes of Mane and Wanyama. But the club have to live in the real world. We are not alone in this. It happens to very club that has players that other teams want.
