At least before we had the Totty threads to liven things up when there was a lull in activity on the transfer front. I know tha Irene has the hots for Artur but I dont think he counts as Totty for us fellas.

I used to go to school (and live) not far from Biggin Hill. Every year we'd have Lancasters and Spifires fly over and every time people would stop and look in awe as they flew over. Went to Leeds Castle this year and two Spits did a display. Awesome machines.

Not sure why you would think it is a problem to have two decent keepers on the books? Of course the club want to keep him, why wouldnt they?

Are you Artur? How do you know so much about what he thinks? I am sure it sucks being replaced and I am sure it will give him time to relect on the couple of howlers he made last year that cost us points but he is being paid a lot of money to do what many of us would do for nothing. Forgive me if I dont have much sympathy for him but this is a professional sport and at some point in his career he must have taken te number 1 spot from another keeper.

So he is quite happy to be No2 and play for the No 1 jersey until such time as he can get a transfer? Seems reasonable to me if that is the case.

I dont have a problem with players not being happy about decisions but these things should be kept behind closed doors. I am sure the Ferguson/Beckham situations happen more than occasionally but I am also sure that they are kept in the club as much as possible. Players now seem to think it is perfectly ok to tell tales through Twitter or whatever. Its not.

The competition isnt dead but it is controlled by the clubs with the most money. The chances of a reasonable sized club being in the top 4 is nigh impossible nowdays. If Norwich or Bolton or Crystal Palace got into the top six then I assume they would do so by winning matches and providing extra competion to the top teams - no bad thing in my book.

Having ambition is either fighting to get your place back or putting in a transfer request. Having a tantrum is sending stupid messages on social media and refusing to play or sit on the bench for the club that pays your wages.

I suppose it makes some sense if there area number of injuries but you would still think that there would have to be at least 1 decent more experienced English CH in the frame. Great opportunity for him though.

If he is to be considered as a CH it doesnt say much for the standard of English players if that is the best we can do. Not having a pop at him but with a handful of games in that position he is hardly a proven performer in that position.

Exactly. I remember feeling gutted when Steve Williams went to Arsenal. Not sure if it was a good career move for him as he wasnt as good for them as he was for us and never became the England player I thought he would. It has been happening forever and will continue as long as there is professional football.

True but then we often play people "out of position" and it is up to them to make the most of it. The injury came at a bad time but I dont think he would have made the squad if fit.

I still think that Rodriquez has work to do on his game (not saying that Welbeck and Townsend are better). He looked out of place in his debut whereas Lallana loooked right at home in the team. He clearly improved last season though so it would be good to see get another chance at the top level.
