Strange that isn't Alpine, as I have recently published Pardew's stats which I believe are for the 2009/10 season??? You will recall Burley's stats too and Strachan's etc etc. Come on and answer the question. Are you backing Pardew for next season are not???
-
Oh dear, and i thought that C B Fry and Alpine were the only posters on here who could read a point and completely change it to suit their own agendas. Not once have I said that it would take Pardew 3 seasons to challenge. I said it took that long for McMennemy to get promoted (and in that time these people would have called for him to be sacked no doubt). After the start we had I said that promotion was unlikely (not impossible you will note). I still think it will be a tall order. I supported Pardew when others were suggesting that he was on barrowed time. I simply said he was a decent manager and deserved time to get it right (which he is doing). I have NEVER put a timeframe on his job or what I would expect him to achieve. But don't let that stop you making up nonsense so you can support someone who seems to get off on negativity and getting rid of managers. Sometimes I agree with you DD and sometimes I don't, but I gave you more credit than to stoop to the tactics of these others.
-
Ah, so you think that it was directed at you then Alpine? So something has started to register. Feel free to deny that you come on and moan most days (I think the description very apt)...but please don't be so pathetic to use this as an excuse (once again) to duck out of answering a straight question. You have called me (and others) far worse. Grow a pair, man up and be honest. Will you or will you not back this manager 100% for next season?
-
I think you are right. It is says a lot about Clegg that other parties are so woriied about him that they are trying to discredit him. God forbid that people should stoop that low (but did I see Cameron talking about his family tragedy the other day on TV? - hmmm, what has that to do with his party's polices? Surely he wasn't trying to milk the sympathy vote???).
-
This says it all and answers those who say that Pardew has been too cautious and has lacked ambition. After the slow start he has done a fantastic job and if we are fortunate to make the play offs and win, we deserve it as much as anyone else in this league. Taking away odd individual results, overall surely we can be delighted with this season?
-
LOL, once again avoided the point. So come on then Alpine, are you going to come out and support the manager for next season or not? Of course I already know the answer because your posts are so predictable every time we draw or lose. Out of 12,000+ posts it is amazing that you actually manage to avoid so many questions asked of you.

Let's not discuss the merits of the individual and their ability to lead the country, let's talk about their family backgrounds instead. Frankly I don't give a t*ss what any of their fathers do or don't do...what difference does it make?
-
Yep, yet we have been accused of not showing ambition nor an attacking mindset (2nd highest scorers in this division). Great stuff.
-
It is easier to be anything if your family have already made your pile...ask JFK would have testified.
-
NOt quite sure what all this has to do with hisa ability to lead a political party of even become Prime Minster? Why can't he claim to be middle class...what ever that is nowdays???
-
It would worr me hugely if the Government on this country depended on what three blokes did in from of a TV camera in a few staged debates.
-
The trouble with the Moaning Minnies is that they fail to bother to look at the Bigger Picture and everything is about the last result. Irrespective of the fact that Pardew has done a fanstastic job they still can't quite bring themselves to give him 100% backing because they want to leave themselves free to have room to slag him off the minute we lose another match. One of the ring leaders of the MMs said the other day that he wasn't calling for Pardew's head "yet." Pretty much says it all. There is not one team in any 4 of the divsions who has not dropped points to "inferior" teams or played badly on occasions. Why FFS should Pardew's team be any different? And before C B Fry slags this post off....if you ready it very carefully you will see that I am backing Pardew. Even by the MMs standards surely the bloke has done enough this season to justify support for next season????
-
It seems they are to be increased and extended from 2 years to 4 years. Seems a bit odd to me and not helpful to CCC teams trying to get promotion.
-
He always looks happy when the cameras are on him and seems to be enjoying his time with us...so I hope that continues!
-
LOL, perhaps he would have had "instant success" if he had substituted some rumpy pumpy for a fag
-
The weather?
-
Bit harsh I think. Okay, he wasn't the player that he looked to be at Hearts, but he was still a decent player.
-
(As a confirmed drinker) you could argue that why should people who don't reguarly put toxins (boooze, fags, drugs) into their bodies subsidise the healthcare of people who do.
-
I think that a lot of people would still pay that, and in the longer run it would save money for the NHS (and save lives so people pay tax longer). It anyone tried to get a licence to produce tobacco (and booze) now it would never happen. It is odd that the Government are happy to take money from things that harm or even kill people but they don't want to legalise prostitution. You could argue that it would be a far better world if people were having more sex and reducing the amount of toxins they were putting into their bodies.

IN what Universe do you think any of what you write makes sense. I have been 100% behind Pardew from day 1 so what should I have a problem with the fact that he is doing so well. If you bothered to read anything I have posted I have supported him even when your hubby was slating him for losing to "lesser" teams. For your information I have never said that delivereing this year was not possible, just unrealistic after the start we had. It is still a tall order by the way. Not once did I say that it will take 3 years. I said that it took Lawrie Mac three years to get us back up and that people like Alpine would have called for his head long before he succeded. If you are going to engage in a debate, have the decency to get your facts right. By the way, I am not the least bit sore about Pardew being successful and can't believe where you have conjured that little gem up from. Like your buddy you have your own agenda and live in your own little cocoon. I am going to watch Shameless now so at least I won't have wasted the whole evening.

Can you make a judgement next Christmas?

Christ you really do take the biscuit. If anyone comes on constantly and proves with every post that he believes the world is black and white it is YOU! By the way, if it wasn't for the -10 points we would be sitting pretty in the play off spots, something you keep conveniently "forgetting". Oh, and if your mate Mr Fry is reading this...please note where he says "no one is calling for AP's head YET" Hardly a ringing endorsement of a manager who has given us our best season for years. -

Just put the tax up to £25 per packet of coffin nails and give all the cash to the NHS. Simples.

Oh its you again having another misguided shot. Obvioulsy you don't read the threads very carefully. That thread was not if we should sack Pardew but when. Go and read it. If you haven't read the posts from people telling us when we should sack Pardew if he doesn't produce in their timeframe you are truly living in the same rarified , has criticised him for a lack of ambition (go figure) and rarely wastes an opportunity to have a pop at him. Tell me, are you Mrs Alpine?
