If that is the case, why give clues? You are just playing childish games. If there is a reason that information should not be made public, why continue with this silly games? If loose lips sink ships, your lips are looser than Katie Price’s and you could sink more ships than the Japanese at Pearl Harbour!

Not that anyone here seems remotely interested in the Tory leadership race, but… https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg3eqy1r5q0o.amp

To come on as a late sub and score the goal that puts you in the Euros final must be awesome. His composure was amazing. What a moment.

Mrs SOG (who doesn’t like football) has just said that we won the World Cup the year she was born and we are celebrating her Mum’s 80th birthday this weekend, so it is a sign. Apparently 🥳🏆

Spain are the better side but won’t sit back or put everyone behind the ball. We look better when we have more space to play in. We might just do this.
-
Perhaps we could have made it a bit easier, but fair play to Southgate, he has done his job. Now go on and win it!

If he is missing a left foot we are in trouble!

I was wondering if our luck was going to run out tonight…not so far!

Harsh but thanks!

Oh well, no surprises there sadly. Gakpo has been lively this tournament but they are beatable. Maybe we will turn up tonight?

This has nothing to do with individual parties. It is about an equitable system of seats gained against votes cast. Which is why an independent body needs to be set up to look at it. There is plenty of support amongst Labour MPs and Trades Unions for PR and a strong argument that Labour would do better in that system in a normal election situation (one not skewed by the electorate looking for a change after a long period of governance by a Tory party that ran out of steam and ideas). If Reform stick around and the Tories can sort themselves out they also might see the benefit in a system that wouldn’t cut them so far adrift. The LibDems have a bigger voice now and they will be pushing for it. The issue isn’t going to go away.

Have you stopped to think that is because the people who take great delight in derailing threads I am on are doing the same thing here? Perhaps, if you stopped behaving like children we could have some serious discussions.

Although I think many of us would bench Kane tonight but understand that Southgate will stick with him as a starter come what may, surely it is a no brainer to start Shaw ahead of Trippier if fit to start? We have been underperformed in every match so far. Why on earth would you stick with the same stating X1, unless changes were enforced by suspension/injuries, with so many decent options on the bench?

Makes perfect sense, but how often do we buy a replacement before letting a player leave?
-
Agree that you can get at them. The way we are playing I don’t think we can but the Dutch could.
-
The French have been putting their shots over the bar all tournament. They had their chances tonight but Spain were the better side and must be hot favourites to take the trophy. They will have us for breakfast if we get through.

I said that peace would only be reached in the end through negotiations. It all ends with negotiations. The issue is at what point do get to the position where an agreement can possibly be reached. We are nowhere near that yet and I can’t see Ukraine wanting to give Putin anything without pressure from the West. I just hope the West doesn’t bottle it. Putin needs to be kept in his box.
