Relegation battle gives excitement, nerves, adrenalin. I don't want us to go down, but the excitement of a battle would be a welcome change.

Past caring. Or getting on that way.

What I can't understand in these situations is how however many thousands of us fans, plus media etc can see that we are utterly dull and an impotent attaching force playing he way we are....and yet the manager can't. In the same way we can all see that Forster is pants right now and has been for a while, and yet still plays him week in week out.

When Austin has come on lately he's looked like a Sunday league player, who's won a raffle prize to appear in a competitive game. His penalties are great, but he looks fat and immobile.
-
Just seen Schneiderlin was sent home from training last week due to lack of effort, and omitted from the squad at the weekend. His stock has fallen considerably.

Anyone who can get the best out of our attacking options, and who gets the fans excited again would get my vote. I love our club but that doesn't mean I love the sh*te being served up. I honestly would rather we scored more goals and were a bit more gung-ho at the back. At least we'd be entertained and get the adrenalin flowing again. My pulse rate has been higher walking to the ground.

Yes, yesterday.

I've just realised.....I don't own a saints shirt or have a saints tattoo, mug, scarf....I'm no saints fan I'm just pretending.

Thank god I stuck a tenner on Burnley.

Very worrying. Almost as worrying as finding myself waking up on matchday and feeling generally non-plussed about the afternoon ahead.

Random Ex- Academy Player Transfer News no-one will care about...

I work in recruitment (i'm afraid) and we've just had an application from the real Yoann Folly. -
How to brighten up a dull wet Monday. Good luck you douche.

I didn't like his celebration at all - players have no respect for managers and whether MP is right or wrong to not pick him he shouldn't be reacting like that to the manager. All this "shows his passion" rubbish - no different to pundits justifying the terrible behaviour of players through crazy tackles or pushing and shoving the opposition as "showing their frustration/hunger". It's petulance, nothing more. Great goal, but infantile reaction.

The chips aren't always mayonnaisier on the other side.

Sorry, when I see him come on he looks like an overweight immobile striker. I'm sure when he came on against Newcastle at one point he tried to almost catch the ball. He doesn't look remotely fit enough to play. He might score a penalty but not much else.
-
Sadly, without any real firepower up front we'll struggle in ALL of those games I suspect. Most of those teams can at least put the ball in the net, which leaves us at a disadvantage already.
-
it'd be nice if I felt even a couple of the players gave a sh1t about the club. Even if they were just good at pretending.
-
Bertrand is probably as bored and disillusioned with England as the rest of us are. We're going to get ripped several new ones next summer. And bore us all in the process.
-
There's been quite a bit of fuzz about his chin.
-
If only we could find someone who could strike a ball like he did. Or head it. Or pass it. Our rise wouldn't have been so meteoric without him.
-
What I don't get is how you lose the natural instinct to want to stay on your feet and play the ball. They're just a bunch of babies by and large.
-
Seeing his goals of late, I can't help thinking that someone direct with pace and strength would be useful to have around the 1st team....
-
IMO if he's fit and utilised appropriately he'd still do a job for someone. He's 35, so unless he's broken physically why not? Yes, I know he's done naff all down the leagues for a while now.....good on him if it happens.
-
The fact that i'd actually forgotten about him as an SFC player until this thread was bumped says it all for me. Feel for the bloke a bit. Not in a financial sense of course.
-
You'd think if JWP (or whoever) can whip a ball up over a wall and into the top corner, then they can cross a ball at pace into an area 10 times bigger. Free-kicks for show. Corners for dough.
