Yep, saw this 2.5 minute clip on twitter. Pretty scathing about MH but then with this sort of thing who do you believe? Barton is a troubled soul without doubt but he does talk sense from time to time too. Who knows, but it's pretty damning. I guess so long as we stay up it's not relevant anyway. Is he right for the long term IF we stay up....

Totally agree with this, but doesn't mean his appointment won't underwhelm me.

God, Hughes would be such an underwhelming, anti-climactic appointment for me. Great if he keeps us up, but I'd rather someone with a bit more about them.

For me, Silva until season end and take stock then. Also don't want Hughes anywhere near our club in any capacity.

It's hard to fathom how the same people overseeing the club in its most boring, negative state were there when were playing some of the best football I suspect we've played as a club......and are ok with it.

BBC sport saying an update coming from SMS at 5pm today.

For years now they've been able to look at offside decisions, ball crossed the line, penalties etc from the commentary/pundits position using normal technology. There a few examples when it's less clear cut, but football is making a proper pigs ear of it. As for rugby...and cricket for that matter, it actually makes it more interesting for a lot of spectators and really doesn't impact on the time in a game. Maybe a couple of minutes but you can't compare it to watching a three hour ad-fest like American football.

It's amazing that football is the only sport that can mess up something really quite simple to use. Frankly pathetic that simple decisions can't be checked quickly and easy. Rugby union is a much more complex game, but they manage it easily. Has a ball crossed a line, was someone offside, was it a clear penalty...really not difficult.

Redmond is just a much more predictable player I would say.

Have a beer with your mates, turn up at 3pm and enjoy watching football.

IMO, if his assists alone keep us up he's worth the money.

It's going to be pretty tough to stand there and listen to the garbage being sung from their lot in relation to them taking our players, plus the "walk on" sentimental bit too, if they're 3-0 after half an hour. I'm dreading listening to their fans almost as much as us possibly getting a beating.
