Salary cap for the young players seems such an obvious way to change their attitudes. How difficult can it be to implement something like that?!
-
We'd probably have to spend that for Walcott - plus much higher wages...
-
Surely agents fees are paid by the buying club?!?!
-
I don't dislike him as a player, i just they don't spunk a large transfer fee plus £100k+ per week on him. Realistically, is going to get in the WC squad?! I'm not at all convinced that he will regardless of how well he does.

I will never understand how a sportsperson's competitive nature would stop them from trying when the take to the field.....you'd think they'd naturally want to win their battles, out-think their man etc even if that's so as not to appear below average at what they do or be talked about in a negative light. I'll never understand that....along with the ability to fall over in the box for a penalty when you can clearly stay on your feet, or dive outside the box. Is it not an instinctive thing to want to stay standing and try to play the ball!?
-
I just can't believe there's not someone younger, less injury prone, and better vfm than Walcott out there.
-
Didn't David Hirst trip over something in training and was then out for months? Sorry, off topic I know.
-
Would be terrible for the club, maybe not so for some supporters who aren't so keen on what the PL has become.
-
I think it's safe to assume that no deal is being announced this week then.
-
Are we any the wiser as to which player and his family were at the Huddersfield game and to be unveiled shortly? Can any more light be shed on this??
-
I'm sure he'd make a Gao of it.
-
I too was in the Northam and one of the most ridiculous load of boos I've ever heard came near the end of the 2nd half when Davis's only option was to go back to the keeper....literally no other option. I get the frustration but that to me showed that those booing have never played the game or simply don't understand when a player has only one outlet. That aside, it was generally upbeat I thought given what was happening on the pitch.
-
Yep no chance - was right behind it, and was in from the moment it left his boot. Top class finish for me.

Is this not just the way some modern football fans behave, with their shiny scarves and manicured beards?? Not that there's anything wrong with either scarves or beards. I get the impression from around my seat that those leaving early are often the ST holders who've been there for maybe a handful of years. Even more annoying is when they start chiming in with utter rubbish that those of us who've been there a while just raise our eyebrows and sigh at.

....Woeful Home Performances....
-
Beaten by pace, power, more direct football. At 1-1 clearly only going to be one winner. Very worrying and god awful weather to boot.
-
That's the fella, cheers!
-
Could have sworn we had an apparently pacy young striker/winger on loan from Liverpool a while ago who was utter rubbish....not Potter. Might be imagining it. Thanks.
-
Didn't Mellor come to us on loan at one point?'
-
Anyway, if Walcott isn't happy with the fee/wages he can jog on. Not really in a position to start getting picky given he's barely playing.

Liverpool agree world-record £75m deal for Virgil van Dijk

Went to uni up there and had all Xmas bashes at the Adelphi. It's been terrible for years, and was really sub standard even back in the mid-90s. Surprised anyone with any real cash would go near it. -
£30m is way too much. I think you'd rather take a punt on Dembele for £5-£10m less.
-
Christ, imagine having Balotelli and Sturridge.....they would be THE most annoying goal celebrations ever. I'd be willing MP to play Shlong.
-
I can't imagine Sturridge being that keen - yes he'll get football but for someone like that it's a massive drop down in the kudos stakes.
