  1. What's SRL up to I wonder. Get him fit and on the pitch. As I type this it's gone from ridiculous gag to me convincing myself. The beauty of beer.
  2. What I don't understand is why we'd look at Walcott for the money they're talking about and not someone like Dembele who it seems is available for less or similar money?
  3. Morning All, is there one easy platform to buy, sell and monitor these cryptocurrencies etc, and can anyone recommend a wallet to use? I'm completely naive about this and it all looks quite daunting! If there's a basic and easy way can someone advise? Is it worth calling brokers about this at all? Is ripple a good longer term investment (12-18 months)? Thanks in advance.
  4. If he'd spent his Friday night in that place it might explain why his energy levels were so high on a Saturday!
  5. Gross
  6. Are there any half decent, realistically achievable but probably hugely expensive loans or free agents that would significantly help us? I'm not sure I'd mind bringing in some mercenaries if it meant us staying up.
  7. He was properly quick....and that goal v Norwich.
  8. I suspect that whoever offers him the most cash AND first team football will win the race. Can't see that being us unless he wants to stay south. Frankly not fussed. Don't think he's the player to save us from our precarious position right now.
  9. Surely we need a striker who wants to stay a striker, rather than a wide player who wants to be a striker. There is clearly a reason why Wenger hasn't played him there regularly.
  10. The student areas (Allerton etc) are pretty rough yes, but to say it's a dump is a load of tosh. As with all places, especially where there's thousands of students, there are going to be sh1t areas. As a night out, it's better than most I've been to - mind you, the students and the scousers simply steer clear of each other, unless you look at their other half for too long.
  11. Salary cap for the young players seems such an obvious way to change their attitudes. How difficult can it be to implement something like that?!
  12. We'd probably have to spend that for Walcott - plus much higher wages...
  13. Surely agents fees are paid by the buying club?!?!
  14. I don't dislike him as a player, i just they don't spunk a large transfer fee plus £100k+ per week on him. Realistically, is going to get in the WC squad?! I'm not at all convinced that he will regardless of how well he does.
  15. I will never understand how a sportsperson's competitive nature would stop them from trying when the take to the field.....you'd think they'd naturally want to win their battles, out-think their man etc even if that's so as not to appear below average at what they do or be talked about in a negative light. I'll never understand that....along with the ability to fall over in the box for a penalty when you can clearly stay on your feet, or dive outside the box. Is it not an instinctive thing to want to stay standing and try to play the ball!?
  16. I just can't believe there's not someone younger, less injury prone, and better vfm than Walcott out there.
  17. Didn't David Hirst trip over something in training and was then out for months? Sorry, off topic I know.
  18. Would be terrible for the club, maybe not so for some supporters who aren't so keen on what the PL has become.
  19. I think it's safe to assume that no deal is being announced this week then.
  20. Are we any the wiser as to which player and his family were at the Huddersfield game and to be unveiled shortly? Can any more light be shed on this??
  21. I'm sure he'd make a Gao of it.
  22. I too was in the Northam and one of the most ridiculous load of boos I've ever heard came near the end of the 2nd half when Davis's only option was to go back to the keeper....literally no other option. I get the frustration but that to me showed that those booing have never played the game or simply don't understand when a player has only one outlet. That aside, it was generally upbeat I thought given what was happening on the pitch.
  23. Yep no chance - was right behind it, and was in from the moment it left his boot. Top class finish for me.
  24. Is this not just the way some modern football fans behave, with their shiny scarves and manicured beards?? Not that there's anything wrong with either scarves or beards. I get the impression from around my seat that those leaving early are often the ST holders who've been there for maybe a handful of years. Even more annoying is when they start chiming in with utter rubbish that those of us who've been there a while just raise our eyebrows and sigh at.
