  1. Faire enough, i wasn't joking - you seriously think it'll be better having one end like that. We already have one end and two sides that are all saints fans. And the other end is pretty quiet, at least from where i'm sitting. Just don't see how it'll make any difference.
  2. Amen to that. This is precisely why i bought my seat in the Northam....which i've had since day 1. I wanted to be next to the away fans for the atmosphere.
  3. So easy on the eye today, KWP running with the ball is a thing of beauty. What a player, even more so in this league. Loving this team, fair play to all the work they’re clearly putting in on the training pitch.
  4. He and Luke Littler both love 3 shredded wheat for breakfast.
  5. He has, but any other striker would have scored far more important goals for us this season given the same opportunities. Not remotely fussed if he leaves this window so long as we can replace.
  6. Top striker, if he’s fit he’d batter this league. Couldn’t do any harm for half a season.
  7. I saw him (and embarrassingly shook his hand) at the tip in Winchester of all places yesterday. Very nice chap, even waved to me as he drove off. Probably muttering something under his breath as he did so. Wife also embarrassed. All in all a successful trip.
  8. It's weird. Having been back in the Championship and seeing us compete/win for the first time in years, i'm not sure if the reason i want us back in the Prem is more for the financial and long term stability and health of the football club itself, and to be able to see us sign exciting top level players (or try at least). I've not got to a single matchday (yet) and thought "if only we were playing Liverpool today.." So, after all that, i think i'm keener on us being in the Prem' for the good of the club itself and not so much for my own personal viewing pleasure. An added bonus is not getting wound up about being last on MOTD week in, week out - haven't watched a single minute of it this season.
  9. I quote the great Andy Townsend. “Better”.
  10. Leeds fans I’ve seen so far seem to be carrying an imaginary case under each arm. Concede first it’s going to get toxic. Need to score first to have any hope imo. Hard to see that happening though.
  11. Maybe the starting eleven can try identifying as winners…
  12. Trouble is, our players haven’t picked up the tools in the first place.
  13. I don’t disagree at all, but I guess it makes the rare good times even sweeter. Let’s just hope we see some good times again.
  14. Quite like Russell Harty back in the day.
  15. It was strange to watch last night - the desire to take the risk on by playing out from the back (or around the back i should say) only to then pump it long due to the lack of options.....and that was against some absolute units. So, tippy tappy around the back and then hump it long to be cleared up with relative ease by their massive central defenders. A fairly damning indictment is that it's been said by many that THB is a real prospect and excelled last year....and yet at times he had zero options, didn't appear to know where he was going next, which led to indecision etc and just a hoof up the pitch or out of play. All that coupled with no protection for the back 4 whatsoever and a team with no cohesion is a real worry. I can't help but like RM, but was baffled at not putting Charles in midfield and playing Bednarek, unless he was an injury concern of course. It just looks like whenever the opposition get possession and carry it over halfway with any purpose, that they're going to get a goalscoring opportunity. Fully expecting us to play 'Boro into form at the weekend and a proper fair play to anyone making that journey.

  17. Sadly i can't remember who it was, but it was discussed on TalkSport (i'm pretty sure by someone a year or two ago.....if i can find the link i'll post it.) Whether you consider the Danny Murphy's of this world as frontline commentator or pundits is up to you. The argument being that at his age (late 20's) if he'd been such a standout player why wasn't he being linked with big clubs. In fact, he wasn't being linked with any big clubs this time around was he? You know what i mean by big club - without shouting West Ham stats at me. Also, if you actually look back at his career at Saints it's really only the last 2 years he's looked like a danger from set pieces, and for much of his career he didn't really have a defined position. I'm delighted for him, and gutted he's not with us - but he's not been a stellar performer for us up until the last few years.
  18. I can’t think of a single news channel without a shower of cunts on it. Quite like that Christian chap on bbc in the evenings but other than that….dire.
  19. There are people clamouring for England call ups that simply weren’t before. He was being lauded on Sky the other day like he wasn’t before. yes he’s had some plaudits but not to the level it is no. Even Rio Ferdinand has jumped on the bandwagon. The narrative was always “if he was that good he’d have snapped up by now”. Not anymore. Happy to admit it might be the booze talking and I’m probably just bitter still!
  20. I will clarify in case it’s needed. It just grates that all the plaudits (or far more than when he was our player) etc come now he’s moved to WH. I find that unbelievably annoying. Suppose was inevitable though.
  21. I can repeat it if you want me to?
  22. The new media love-in for him frankly gets right on my tits.
  23. I suspect the long term damage caused by lockdowns on families, kids schooling / education, mental health, cancer treatments (and other serious ailments) for patients not getting appointments or feeling they should to save the NHS and not getting symptoms treated will have a far greater impact than the virus itself. We'll all be living with the fallout from it for years to come.
  24. Poor buggers who’ve travelled up there for that. Abysmal all round.
