It’s Saudi money. We should be absolutely pulling their pants down if they want him. As with any club that makes a loaf of cash in sales, clubs know they’ve got loads of cash and raise prices accordingly. We should (but no doubt won’t) be after £30m and payment in full.

Russell Martin's red and white army. Might catch on?
-
Pretty much past caring now.

I’ve given an opinion, I’m not anti vax etc….I’m just happy to not have any further jabs. You just seem particularly angry at a different view point.
-
Haven’t you got anything better to do?
-
That’s good then. Thanks for putting me straight.
-
Not sure if that last bit referred to me or not, but if it did I mentioned that apparently he’s clarified and apologised for what he’d said. Clearly wasn’t a very clever / correct thing to say.
-
I’m not talking about vaccines in general obviously (neither was MLT I gather), it’s in relation to the big rollout recently …. hence me saying “only a few years in”. If anything is going to divide opinion (from people we know) it’s the covid vaccines. Most (me included) had the jabs and many are saying they’d not have any more if offered.

The sky is red at certain times of the day….. One of the greatest scientific breakthroughs ever? Bold statement only a few years in. Good for you though for having such clarity on these matters, you’re one of the few I suspect.
-
I am not remotely informed enough to know either way….vaccine opinions are possibly more justified than the Ukraine, simply due to the nature of mass vaccination. I know doctors (my cousin being one) who completely disagrees with, and thinks there’s real potential harm in, the vaccine program. But some others who think it’s fine. We won’t really know for years to come either I suspect. This forum would be dull as shit if we all agreed.

In your opinion yes. The beauty of opinions eh?!
-
I thought he’d explained that bit in the interview? I wasn’t really following the saga when it first happened. Why do you think he’s being alternative for the sake of it? Is that your opinion of anyone who holds a different point of view to yours? Playing devils advocate… what’s to say that your view is the right one? Some might say that listening to the mainstream narrative would itself make someone boring, tedious etc. Life would be boring if we all had the same opinion on stuff eh? This thread probably belongs somewhere else!
-
I think this is the problem though. Anyone with an alternate point of view to the norm’ is considered an attention seeker. Maybe he has his own opinions and thankfully in a democracy he’s free to express them. I like to keep an open mind because, let’s face it, none of us know what’s really behind all the stuff going on in the world. We might not like some of it, but he had every right to not follow the herd.

Great listen. Fair play to having his own beliefs and living his own life. I don’t mind GB news….less lecturing and virtue signalling than most. Mind you, it’s not hard to compete with the other news channels.

Worst Southampton chants of the recent Premier League era?
LeBizzier69 replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Still that stupid “told me to kick his fcking head in” song. ”you fat bar steward” at goal kicks, when none are remotely fat. The old “you’re sht aaaah” was fine. -
I hope you're wrong - we'd be nuts to sell the player of the league last year with still a few years left on his deal for that amount. We'd only end up splaffing that and more on someone who probably isn't proven....or who offered less in the league last year.
-
Agree, and nobody should be paying that sort of cash for him. But, with the sales of the big names plus those leaving and off the wage bill, we should be demanding big money for players who can (most probably) make a big impact next year. There’s no point in selling Tella, Alcaraz etc for less than top dollar because a) we’ll have lost two decent players for not much cash, and b) we’ll still then have to stump up decent cash just to replace them. They’re worth more to us and a push for next season than they are being sold for anything less than top money (for their level of player).
-
No he isn’t, and Tella isn’t worth £25m. But, to let these players leave that’s what we should be commanding. They’re our players under decent length contracts, and who we need next season. Clubs will need to cough up way over the odds if they want them.
-
I detest Everton.
-
Always liked Ruben.

Same here, the club aren’t the only thing that needs a reset before the start of next season!

The Lockyer incident looked a bit worrying.

Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
LeBizzier69 replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Yes you’re right. Unless my maths is shot too. -

I'm inclined to agree, although (perhaps stupidly) i've kept my seat in the Northam just because it's always been my seat. Probably because i couldn't have ever got my own at The Dell. -
