  1. Isn't it a bit too late in the season for reserve psychology from our dear RH?
  2. Nearly as desperate as some seasons past with probably many more lows and meh performance especially with the squad at hand... We need get something against Brentford
  3. Rather typical half by the Saints... As likely to score as to concede but we got the opener, good header by Ori, and have something to defend. We seem on it today so if we score next, I can see us scoring a few more especially once Broja, S. Amstrong and (maybe) A. Amstrong come in... COYS
  4. Missed the first half... lucky me... we looked like a decent team in the second half, could have scored a few more. JWP take a bow.
  5. why not listen to Solent ....fully biased commentary there too
  6. What a difference a week makes... compact, physical, concentrated players, good team selection, big win.... Well done boys... 🙂 COYS
  7. The team can perform, we've seen it this season... and fair enough Chelsea are what they are but, man, these results really mess up my mood and weekend.
  8. Another shocking performance... so many in the past few years. No redeeming back story with this one... we just got plain and simple thrashed ouch
  9. good point away from home... tough and physical... We didn't play great but getting back on track. COYS
  10. fully agree - no shame in losing to City, decent effort by the boys against a billion and more made up team. Would have been good for A.Armstong to have got his goal, he needs one to go in soon. We're not too far away and hope our season doesn't peter out.
  11. 3 times in a row now we've been bossed in midfield which forces us to revert to side and back passes.... and the brain farts to go with it. Pretty embarrassing display... feel sorry for the crowd at St Mary's.
  12. interesting line up - 4-5-1 when out of possession to 4-3-3 when attacking I also had Smallbone in mind for this game... Think RH had to try something a bit different after the last two no shows - gives us quite a bit on the bench too (if makes use of it) Like that Perraud is back... give us, with Salisu, two lefties to really spread the game out wide Worth a try first half at least
  13. That one hurts as it's even more frustrating that the Villa game... so tough to take and difficult to understand after a great run. KWP, Che and Stu did alright, the rest were average at best. Most annoyed with RH tonight, should have taken Tino off (what are they doing to him...??) for Perraud and give us a natural left footer to balance the play. All wrong again.... such a pity
  14. that's a game and a half where we don't seem to be fully on it... cute passes, little one twos but seldom creating a threating situation. Got to admit, Che's monster volley should have got us in front at half time. Stu so, so important but nothing new
  15. Agree, about as good as we can get - Redmond vs Moj can be debated but they are about equivalent Gonna be tough tonight, Newcastle are on a roll and have a smart manager - hopefully we've licked our wounds from the weekend and are raring to push, press and punish them. Should be a cracking atmosphere... COYR
  16. Certainly a big difference between the teams yesterday, a 100+million attacking midfielder, mostly unmarked, able to spread passes around and dictating play. Would love our club to have someone like that to deploy but we've got to be realistic. With hindsight, RH got his tactics wrong, should have gone with a defensive / counter attacking line up such as a 5-4-1 but the players didn't really turn up and Villa were good value. No issues with Ings, would love for him to still be at the club but he gave us some real good shows whilst with us and didn't celebrate yesterday... Big wake up call... would be a pity for the season to fizzle out after some real improvements. COYS
  17. nasty half ... think we need Diallo in and one of the 3 midfielders man mark Continho... go 4-3-3 and match Villa We'll do really well to get a point out of this one...
  18. DDos by Russian? wouldn't be surprised
  19. Pretty settled line up, good attacking options available on the bench whilst defensive is maybe a bit light. Coutinho is the obvious threat from advanced midfield but hopefully Romeu has him in his pocket. Hoping for a win but more than happy with a draw and keeping the unbeaten run going. 1-2 Saints... COYS
  20. Well, that was a surprising result after seeing the starting eleven... wow, great stuff. RH is a genius...:-) Great goal by Perraud and this Broja nipper up front is some player... COYR !!!!!!!!!!
  21. Decent transfer window, a settled, balanced team and a few guys on the bench to rely upon, probably make a a bit of difference to last couple of years. I'm just amazed as how calm we can be on the ball (still a brain fart per game from someone but nothing like past seasons), how positive we are, how strong physically and emotionally. Our tempo and press are more aggressive and insistent... A few of the players have really improved as well (Salisu, KWP, JWP, Romeu, Che, Moj even FF...). Think RH has also improved, last year he was a bit like a roller coaster of emotion, this year he seems to be really on it. I'm really impressed and watching, the games in the past few months, has been a blast... Love it and long may it continue. COYR
  22. We seem to be scoring at least screamer per game... love it and love Romeu... WOW ... Another win, didn't get out of first gear, we march on !!!
  23. Not a bad first half, think we can go up a gear and score a couple more in the second half... agree with other chaps here, Broja could maybe do with a bit of a rest, get in AA or Shlong... KWP is a beast and Tino is not far behind... COYRRRRRRRRRRR
  24. gonna go for an unchanged line up ... Perraud and Redmond on the bench for Valery and Walcott, 3-1 win and a whole lot of singing... COYR
  25. wasn't too bad this time I thought... ManU picked up a fair few yellows....
