I was worried that we would take a beating but both teams wanted to play which made it a good game. Plenty of chances created which was good , not sure about the tippy tappy in own penalty area though . Danns first goal was well taken showed how to do it ! Lets hope the players take heart from their showing and push on .

Hopefully a lot of work will be done on what to do in the final third and not too much of tippy tappy in their own penalty area !

But have Saints got the right squad to survive in the Prem ? Too many loans and weak links in present team plus how much investment would the owners put in . The other issue is availability of quality players with the big teams plus Saudis sucking up all the best players etc .

RM probably thought Manning going forward at home was the way forward. Unfortunately Saints were on the back foot so live and (maybe) learn !
