  1. Not a bad job in those days , unfortunately chemists have had their Govt support slashed like rural GPs . Our local one is always changing hands and struggles to get qualified persons some days . Rant over 😃
  2. Quite he married into money , I think their massive off shore blind trust is the result of 1% of her Dads firms share they were given ! So a very rich family . I don’t mind him having money but I object to them parking it off shore to avoid paying tax unlike us PAYE plebs. Cameron’s Dad spent his career advising people investing in tax havens as well as himself , Cameron inherited it which is why he can afford a £25k shepherds hut for his estate 😃
  3. The short relay teams have Darren Cambell and the long sprints have Tim Benjamin . So 50/50 !
  4. Mark Sampson
  5. We know that England players did suffer prejudice with the former coach but this sort of comparison is ridiculous totally undermines meritocracy and inclusion .
  6. I always remember Liverpool signing Dean Saunders who thrived on the counter attack running onto through balls , unfortunately Liverpool did not play that style so he didn’t last long there !
  7. Lukaku is a one year loan , currently they are doing a deal for another year . After losing 4-0 to Arsenal Tuchel has gone full Saints web in his reaction saying they won’t be ready for 6th Aug and need a load more signings 😄
  8. No deal say ManC , according to the Athletic .
  9. You should rename this thread “slagging off women’s football” in case people accidentally click on it 😆
  10. A few decades out of date but you should remember 😆
  11. So much like watching Saints apart from the excellent extra time goal the like of which we rarely see at StMarys 😄
  12. The Spanish are a load of cheats !
  13. Because of you mainly …..
  14. Wages plus not a good defender imo
  15. It seemed clear when he left at the end of the season that he thought he wasn’t coming back so anything after is wishful thinking
  16. Apparently the on field umpires are the final judges of when the ball is dead and therefore when the match is over . I assume when it was safely in the wicketkeepers gloves and he broke the stumps that was it . The fact that both sets of stumps were broken and a stump taken out plus being touched by the ball removed all doubt 😄
  17. Hants bowling is their strength this season , batting not bad there is usually someone stepping up to the plate !
  18. Players don’t often know the rules properly , that’s why it is down to the Umpires ! Like football ! Nasser wasn’t our best captain either 😃
  19. That was one of the best matches we attended , never seen so many happy Saints fans since 1976 😁
  20. I thought bang on average as in exactly the numerical average rather than somewhere in the middle !
  21. It is a major part of the problem that anything you do may be interpreted as encouraging the migrants/smugglers . The present policy is not to allow migrant workers for agriculture after brexit , a small allowance has been made but no where near enough , even milk production is being reduced as a result . This is leading to even higher food prices . WE already import 40% of food . When asked Rees Mogg said cheap food would be imported to keep prices down but events have been overtaken that theory of how the poor could afford food post brexit. A bit of joined up thinking from Govt required urgently to allow official migrant workers , sort out the massive backlog of illegals who are sitting around in old barracks and hotels . Totally agree we need to have a proper control of migration but the policy after brexit isn't working and is only going to get worse unless a bit of cooperation with other countries happens . As we can see no country has a solution on their own , land locked countries in europe can put up fences etc but there needs to be proper cooperation it get some sort of control in place . Water supply will be the next biggest problem once the glaciers have melted away , the Hoover dam resevoir is nearly died up in USA already etc .
  22. It requires international cooperation to recognise the two main problems of war and climate change that are causing mass migration first . What can the UK do now ? Not a great deal that will change the mind set of the migrants , encouraged by the people smugglers , it may be possible to set up centres in Europe to sort the asylum seekers from economic migrants but that kind of cooperation is unlikely. Demographics is largely overlooked but new figures last week show how the % of the uk population in the retired age group is getting larger with not enough in the working age group to support the economy and all the elderly . It makes sense to process all migrants and put as many to work as possible esp in farming where labour has always been a problem. If you look at Japan they are further down the ageing curve and whole towns away from the cities are struggling to survive . Young people are not getting married and having children and there is only very limited migration . This will be the same in all developed countries soon as the birth rate drops further and more migration will be needed . Look at America , for all the bluster they still need people to do the menial jobs . It also explains the anti abortion messages as they want to remain in the majority .
  23. To cut a long reply short , I wouldn’t recommend : 12 years of defunding public services to the point where none of them work effectively , suggest that to solve the fact you have to wait months for a driving licence or passport or hours to get through passport control at the airport or get a reply from HMRC that sacking 90 000 civil servants will improve the situation . Crash out of the EU then slag them off for all your self imposed problems , wonder why EU is not bothered with your problems . Come up with a solution that Israel tried and abandoned as the deportees had to hand over some of their pay off to Rwandan officials in return for being escorted out of the country so they could continue their european dream. Sending a days worth of migrants won’t help nor will trying to blame lawyers for challenging their deportation . Recognising that the problem is endless wars prompted by trying to change other countries regimes which has led to multi million refugee issues and countries having a million or more refugees not a few thousand . Secondly rapidly increasing climate change which is making large parts of the planet uninhabitable with over 50C temperatures and no water or 8 months rain in a few days . The Po river in Italy has dried up for large sections ! International cooperation is required urgently not false claims we will be invaded by 60M Turks if we stay in the EU . Think of the benefits of green energy we could of had if this govt hadn’t cancelled subsidies for green energy and banned land based windfarms as they might spoil the view of the richest 1% landowners that fund the tory party/wallpaper. Oops should have quoted the “ what would you do post” re channel small boats…
  24. It is all part of the act as used by dictators/politicians etc , throw in a few opinions that “no right thinking person can disagree with” to justify the nonsense bits . Currently Priti wants to export asylum seekers to Rwanda to “save lives of people crossing the channel in small boats “ yeah right …
  25. I didn’t know my sub had run out ! Last time Steve fixed it but I have renewed , hopefully , ! Thanks for your help.
