Saints / Reading / West Ham run in: Games to go . . .
Pilchards replied to .comsaint's topic in The Saints
So West Ham have not won a home game during the week since 2005? Wow that's a hard nut to crack for them! -
Why is it such a hoodoo being live on the box? For anyone watching Saints on the TV will wonder how we are 2nd in the league with the amount of failures we have. I have no idea why the players choke on the TV and it does worry me that the Middlesbrough game is live too? We need to solve this issue because in the Premiership we will be live every 5 games. The solutions? Ban Sky? Install camera's around the pitch when they are training? Put mirrors in front of the camera's so they can't see them?

Blimey I have read some utter nonsense this early morning, too many supporters have given up with the Saints now and I find it staggering they are not going to the Peterboro game If West Ham win? Overall we need just 6 points (maybe less) to get over the line and the way we battered Reading last night suggests that the players will get promoted. It's been the most amazing season so far and we have a great chance of going up with the blue few getting relegated. COYR......

Thats given me idea, I will phone up the Westwood bookshop at the end of the season and ask for a couple of books called '2 back 2 backs promotions.' & 'The slippery slope to blue square.'

What other choice do I have?

Last team to win the Championship after promotion from League One

What about the quickest a team has dropped in 2 years? -
I believe you need to build on the engine of the team. Davis Jos Fonte Fox Lallana Cork Lambert Spider These are starters so I would say Clyne - right back Ambrose - Ball winner nippy winger no 1 nippy winger no 2 and Hooper from Celtic. and a brick house Centre Back. 6 player in like Swansea and Norwich did.

I will be outside the ground queuing up for my Coventry tickets and watching it on my phone. I have no choice as I need to be somewhere at 9-00am Saturday morning so I need to front the queue. I will NOT miss that Coventry game..
-
I might put 50p on Leicester to go through on the playoffs. Blimey 14/1, could buy a football club down the road with the winnings!!

I reckon I've done 25 games over the last couple of years and we have won everyone of those, the last defeat I can recall is the Saints/Pompey cup match where they beat us at St Mary's. I know of some people that attend very few matches but every time they do we get spanked... What about good luck charms? I remember my old football manager would wear his special coat that had bird **** on it as we continued to win all the time.

Tuesday's matches, inc. Brighton v Reading (1945 KO)

me 2. It's got 3-1 written all over it and a Reading red card. -
They go on general sale Saturday morning and I know the online booking & phones will be on melt down early morning, don't trust them at all. #2 yes I did have a few beers yesterday at the game but I thought I was alright now;)

(1) Did QPR, Norwich & Swansea have a open bus parade? (2) That drummer at Palace killed our atmosphere at the beginning, would it not be an idea to put one of each in the Itchen & Northam to kill the opponents atmosphere when they get going?I did like the quick beat tune but you need a thousand people bouncing with it. (3) Do you agree we don't need a new striker next season as Lambert, Lee, Sharp & a confident Barnard can do it for us. (4) We badly need two nippy wingers like Oxy as it will give us another style of football. (5) I need to go out Saturday morning so I need to miss the Reading game to be at the front of the queue for Coventry tickets, is there another solution for me? (6) It's time to rename our stands as the Itchen, Northam, Chapel & Kingsland is pants. We need to honour Marcus & Le Tiss in some format. (7) Is it time to give Nigel the freedom of the city?
-
Totally agree, add Butterfield to that as the right flank ticked 2nd half. They are all in this together and it's getting closer to the Premiership! IMHO reaching the premier will be the end of the fun.

Get married to her and watch things change quickly. -
Totally agree, I spoke to a PC recently and he said there operation to spot trouble makers begins very early in the morning. If a large group arrive to take a train from Fratton etc they will have just send it back before it gets anywhere near Southampton. They use the bubble system because they know its a success.

I don't get this Lambert banging them in, photo's of him training and Adkins saying he's fit for Saturday. As a manager I would think keeping it quiet was the right thing to do. I honestly believe someone is playing games to get the skates tall, but slow centre backs in the starting line up so we will put SDR & Sharp at the front.
-
What time is the train you are taking?
-
I've heard some guys from the St. Mary's Young Men's Association are playing Freemantle FC, on the "backfield" of the Hampshire County Cricket ground on Northlands Road this saturday, anyone fancy popping along?
-
Not this season they haven't 'cause they've not seen one.
-
The thread header should be Allardyce doing another pie.....!!!
-
I think that explains why no skates watch the **** dished out by a crap football team because they are down St Mary's enjoying some decent football for once?As for the coming down for some action in the Southampton parks etc.... pop along by debenhams as I will get some of my m8's to show you some SKATEboard moves.
